Set Hike!
If You Jeep Wave, They Will Duck
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
The 33rd inaugural episode begins with Turtle’s manual-transmission driving gloves and somehow develops into a graduate seminar on Jeep culture, where Panda Dan admits he’s essentially duckless and the crew spends several legally inadvisable minutes defining mutual ducking, tri-ducks, duck exclusivity, and the shocking possibility that the Western Hemisphere itself is a duck. The Phillies then use the completely meaningless but spiritually binding fact that the 1980, 2008 and 2026 teams all sat at 64–56 after 120 games to guarantee another World Series, before Chase Utley’s Wall of Fame ceremony becomes an ageism tribunal, a Pat Burrell grooming appreciation society, and a Kevin Costner filmography test nobody studied for. Eventually football arrives, where Darius Cooper and Willie Lampkin become the official Set Hike! preseason hype train, Lemon is declared a bust approximately seven years before anyone should be allowed to say that, and Lane Johnson’s possible last ride sends the entire offensive-line discussion plunging into an unstoppable series of Johnson jokes. The brand-new Set Hike! voicemail line then fulfills its technological destiny when children immediately use it to investigate Dr. TAT’s fart volume, before Stat Boy closes the case with Stellantis corrections, vintage Phillies fan-club archaeology, Savannah Bananas acrobatics and one final command: grab your ducks, give yourself a Jeep wave, and go Birds.

Statistics & Facts
- Chrysler is still in business; its parent company is Stellantis — and Jeep's parent company is also Stellantis.
- "Jeep Ducking" is described as a real global phenomenon: Jeep owners leave small rubber ducks on other Jeeps as a random act of kindness/acknowledgment.
- After 120 games, the 1980 Phillies were 64–56, the 2008 Phillies were 64–56, and the 2026 Phillies were also 64–56 — both 1980 and 2008 ended in World Series titles.
- Savannah Bananas trivia: the team reportedly sold out Citizens Bank Park ("the bank") two days in a row; a player named Robert Anthony Cruz ("RAC"; a former MLB player with the Nationals) recently landed a trick called the "Iron Lotus" — a flip with a twist, catching the ball backhanded. https://www.instagram.com/reels/DbzLhofI6hn/
- Birds returner Brit Covey reportedly ran a "hammy route" during OTAs — faking a hamstring injury mid-route as a decoy move. https://www.instagram.com/reels/DZv3Jl5NjHL/
- Crows: reportedly have intelligence comparable to a 7-year-old human or a great ape; high neuron density lets them make tools, recognize human faces, and understand water displacement.

Welcome everyone to the 33rd inaugural episode of the Set Hike podcast. I'm your host, Dr. Tat, and with me often and rather always is Panda Dan. It's that boy. Blank. Yeah, that's it. We've been the Caballero's Caballeros, right, Dan? Yeah, yeah. We almost had a guest tonight. Turtle. We almost had Turtle come come out of the basement, but he he's having he's having some transportation type of you know issues. We've we've all been there, so but he'll be back. The thing about Turtle, I don't know if people know this, but he he drives uh drives uh stick shift in his car. Really? Yeah, yeah. So he's he's always been a stick shift guy. You're saying manual trans manual transmission. Manual man, yeah. So you know the Eagles have Manion Man, we have Manual Man. Manual man. So we gotta call him Turtle the Manual Man.
Stat BoyYeah.
Dr. TATYeah.
Stat BoyDoes anybody else drive manual that we know?
Dr. TATYeah, do you drive manual man? I don't think so. I mean, I I once went on a nice vacation with Turtle and Scott to Ireland, and and Turtle drove Manual the whole way.
SPEAKER_04The whole way.
Dr. TATYeah, the rings of was it was it the rings of Curry? Yeah, I think there's multiple rings. Yeah, that's right. So it was quite the experience. And yeah, I I think Scott uh attempted to drive it, but we'll we'll leave we'll we'll ask Turtle about that the next time he's on. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, I mean he's a great manual driver. He he usually puts on if you get in the car with Turtle, if he picks you up, he usually puts on sunglasses right away. Yep. And then he puts on gloves sometimes too. He's kind of like like a NASCAR driver. Well, you know, I mean, the truth is I I certainly can't drive manual. So I I uh there's a degree of respect. So, you know, put on your gloves, get the shades on. You do you, bro? Wait, wait, you wear gloves while driving manual? I mean, turtle? Is that a yeah, are you just a big gloves, he might have done.
Stat BoyYeah, he seems like a turtle.
Dr. TATI think I think turtle is just the highest level of Italian within this podcast. He really puts a run for your money. The Italian. I think I think he drives a Fiat or uh I think it's like a Ford Focus. I think it's a Saab. It's a Saab? No, no, I think it's a Ford. Ford Fusion, I want to say. A Ford Fusion? Not a Ford. Well, wasn't there a Ford Fiesta? There is a Ford Fiesta.
Stat BoyThat's Spanish for party. Does Ford Ford party all their vehicles by the letter F? There's a fusion, there's a fiesta. There's a phone. Fusion.
Dr. TATThere's the Ford Explorer. Taurus. No, Taurus. Taurus. We do my so we used to own a Taurus. My family. I mean, let me just listen. This is a podcast that supports all forms of energy, but that thing was a gas guzzler. I mean, I actually so it was a kind of like a cherry red. Uh, you know what? I think it was if it was not a cherry red. I'm thinking of a Dodge Stratus, because I used to drive a Dodge Stratus, which was red, and I used to joke about the Will Farrell thing. So that actually story for another time. Yeah. My dad had a Ford Taurus, which was not cherry red, it was more of a maroon. That car was awful. I mean, it was like uh I don't think it had much to it. And I think perhaps at the time I was probably in like my four to six year old range. So I probably didn't have an appreciation for how much he had driven it. But man, that thing like sputtered and yeah, I mean it was on its last leg. So yeah, Ford Taurus. I feel like sometimes that was like the butt of a joke. I I mean I used to watch Conan O'Brien all the time, and I feel like he always said, I drive my Ford Taurus, like almost as a joke or something. Yeah. But no, I mean, like we're like, I thought you were gonna say you were a podcast that you know supports the American automobile industry, you know. I uh is that true? I mean, let's see who drives what? What do you drive your P No, I drive a You drive a Are we allowed to say what cars we drive? Yeah Your car is I mean maybe he doesn't want to drive a Hondo. It is a Akura.
Stat BoyYeah, a kuka.
Dr. TATIt's an Acura.
Stat BoyAcura. Akura.
Dr. TATI drive a Toyota.
Stat BoyToyota. All right.
Dr. TATAnd what do you drive? I drive a Jeep. You jeep a Jeep. Seto, I think. The Japanese Jeep. Yeah. Yeah. What is Jeep American? Is that an American company? Chrysler. Well, it was made by Chrysler. And then I they I think they're just a good one. Oh, so Chrysler's part of the Jeep. Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge Ram. Like they were always the same dealership. Well, just because of the same dealership doesn't mean they're all from the same country. Well, they were all part of the Chrysler manufacturer. Yeah. And what's is Chrysler? Is that part of American is that an American automobile company? Well, if the Snapboy can confirm. Because Ford Ford's American, you know, you've got Gerald Ford, who was a president, had nothing to do with the actual car company. Yeah. Yeah. Who was it? Henry Ford, right? Henry. Henry Ford. Yeah. So Henry Ford was I mean, he was a pretty revolutionary, like a transformational figure, right? Well, some would argue he was a bit of a tyrant. He wasn't exactly, you know, there I I think it's one of those like don't meet your heroes type thing, Dan. And if I could go back in time, he'd be he wouldn't be like the top ten guys I would want to meet. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. I think he's a bit I don't know much about. I just know him. I mean, what was it? The I mean, we're real someone's listening to this podcast and being like screaming. We're not experts on this, but the assembly line was that. That's exactly right. Yeah. Well, that's something. I'll tell you. So but I don't know about Chrysler. And and so you're saying that you're you're the you're the offspring of Chrysler is what you drive right now. A Jeep uh Jeep was all like because I yeah, like whenever you make especially a big purchase like that, like you're always like, what am I investing in here? And I I remember Jeep was always made, owned by Chrysler. Chrysler was the parent company of Jeep. I don't know if it still is. Like I feel like there's something else going on there, but I'm not certain on that. And and you tended to embrace the Jeep culture, right, Dan? Oh yeah. Like, well, yeah, like there's a Jeep Wave. So when you see other folks driving the Jeep, it's a Jeep Wave. I mean, our our listener or maybe may or may not be a listener, Rich Rich the Iceman. Sure. Uh he he always he was a big enthusiast of the Jeep Wave. I think he still has like a blue, beautiful Jeep kind of truck. Well, he has a Jeep Wrangler. Wrangler. Yeah, they're nice. What do you have? Uh Grand Cherokee. Grand Cherokee. Yeah. Black. Black and black. Yep. Yeah. So Grand Cherokey's great, Wrangler's great. Then they have some of the others, like I don't want to offend anyone, but they have like the Patriot or the Compass. But they're kind of like you seem down on those models. Yeah, that's kind of like if you're the like I feel like that'd be like the Reading Phillies, they're like the Clearwater Phillies. Not ready for the big leagues, you tell me. It's not the big show. But I think Wrangler is like legit. Like I re I have great respect for the Wrangler. It's different. It's very different than the Grand Turkey, but it it's it's very cool. On the average week, Panda, how many Jeep waves do you send and receive? Probably like two. Two? Yeah, yeah. But you probably see more than two Jeeps at any given time. Yeah. Is it so is the wave uh please explain this to me because this is a this is a new culture for me and I want to I want to sink my teeth into it. Yeah. When you're driving, right? So is it kind of the idea is that you two would like Jeep owner Dan and Jeep Owner whoever, right? You guys have to be passing each other, I'm assuming. Do you have to make eye contact then wave? Do you wave regardless, or how does it work? Usually, like if you're passing each other, usually at a slower speed, you might you might give them the wave, or or if you pull up next to someone, it doesn't have to be passing, it could be next to them. You know, you you lock eyes, it's a beautiful day out. You give them the old wave. And and when you're doing the wave, is it more is it more elbow and it's kind of like a back and forth windshield? Is it kind of the queen wave where the hands, the fingers are like not moving and you're rotating the wrist pro-supination, or what's the actual wave look like? Yeah, I think it's kind of like whatever you want it to be. I don't I don't know if there's like an official official wave, but we're gonna have to look that up because I feel like there has to be a certain etiquette. Okay, cool. So you're saying you receive and or send a Jeep wave twice per week on average. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm actually I'll be taking yeah, taking my Jeep in for its uh inspection tomorrow, actually. Have you ever been to a Jeep?
Stat BoyJeep breaks, already know you need them.
Dr. TATHave you ever been to a Jeep meeting like a group of Jeep enthusiasts? Have you ever met up with them? Uh no, but I always like yeah, if someone has a Jeep, like we're probably most likely gonna be friends. Like, wait a minute, you know. That's interesting. You think a certain personality buys a Jeep? Yeah, adventurous, you know, zest for life. Gambler, yeah, yeah, gambling. Hot the safety features. So hotcaster.
Stat BoyYeah, I want to go a little tangent to this conversation about the wave, but we all know that Dan likes ducks, right? So isn't there something with jeeps and ducks? Yeah, can you explain that to me? I was about to ask that. That's great stuff.
Dr. TATJeeps and ducks? I'm not familiar. Please enlighten me. All right, just tell us a joke. Yeah. Do you have any duck jokes, Dan? Oh, I don't I well actually that can I show you something real quick. Uh I mean, sure. Absolutely. I'm here for you. Audio podcast, but I'd love to see it.
Stat BoyYeah, there was a beautiful photo.
Dr. TATBut but while you're doing that, what I think Staboy's referring to, and something I was about to ask you about too there are Jeep owners who have rubber duckies that go all the way across the dashboard of your Jeep. And what the hell is that about, Panda? And listen. Oh, here we go. Sorry, sorry. Oh, well, nope. Yeah. That's a good yeah. All right. It's already Yeah, I don't I don't do that, but I I feel like I may have seen that before. I mean, you're a guy who shares duck jokes with a person from Colorado on the Daily. Uh I'm shocked that you're not part of the duck component of Jeep culture.
Stat BoyI can apply some knowledge here if you would like to hear it. All right, here we go. Jeep ducky is what it's called. Oh boy. It's actually a global community phenomenon where Jeep owners place small rubber ducks and other jeeps as a random act of kindness. Fighting a duck on your vehicle means another enthusiast noticed your ride, admired your build, and wanted to bring a smile to your day. So more ducks that you have on your windshield technically is more enthusiasts that are providing those. Huh. That is very interesting.
Dr. TATThat you know what? It makes sense now that when I see it, it's usually the waviest of jeep folks and probably the most annoying people to drive on the road with have uh just are strewn ducks like rubber ducks. Jeep ducks. So have you ever been ducked by a Jeep owner? No. So no ducking for you. You're duckless. No. Wow, no duck. But no duck for panda. Started up? Yeah. But we have a message. You know, usually we do this at the end, but we'll do it now. Okay, sure. So we have fan mail from Andrew, our biggest duck intowards, folks. So hang tight. So he sent me a it looks like it's a tweet from X, formerly known as Twitter, from Big Cat, Barstool. You know, Pete, he's on what part of my take, right?
SPEAKER_04Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Uh-huh.
Dr. TATSo that's a rival podcast. We shouldn't really be drop in. Yeah, drop in. He said, What the F in a tweet, and it was in reference to a question. And then it's from Curiosity is the name of the account. And it said, You mean to tell me we've been living on a duck this whole time? Now it all makes sense. So, like, what the heck's that mean, right? Uh yep, that's what I'm thinking. Right. Where are we going with this? If you look confused, I'm going to show you both the picture and you know, we will explain it to our listeners. So there's like, that's like North America, right? Okay. If you turn it like sideways, like and you put a dot, you gotta add the dot, but it kind of looks like a dot. Okay. So very interesting. I'll I'll speak to everyone now. So what we have is a map, and it's not a Mercator projection. This is probably one of the older ones where it's a two-dimensional map. Okay. And it has been rotated 90 degrees clockwise. Oh, okay. And a random arbitrary dot has been placed right in the almost the middle part of Brazil. Yeah. And what they are showing is that if you were to then take that same view, right? So if you're looking at the map right here, yeah, and then you rotate 90 degrees further, oh the the the essentially the what you're seeing, the western hemisphere, yeah, all of the landmass can form a duck. This is absolutely fascinating, folks. I would love it's not an optical illusion. I think it's real, it's like real. I'm I'm kind of I'm I'm really questioning a lot of things having seen this. This this is a bit revelatory for me. I'll be honest. Okay, wow. This is a game changer, folks. We're gonna have to post we'll post this on the social media so we'll get a chance. Shout out to Curiosity. Yeah. Wow, but yeah, so Stat Boy's looking at it. I mean, pretty interesting, you know? Yeah, it looks like a good a good duck. Yeah, yeah, amazing. So that's not a duck joke, but pretty good. And you so you've you've never been ducked, you've never been a ducker of any kind. There's been no ducking amongst you and other jeeps. Is that fair to say?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
Dr. TATYou're not a duck boy, yeah. You don't duck around. It's it's just it's yeah. You would be considered somewhat of a you know oceanatigans. Neophyte, a a newbie to the ducking. Is that fair to say? Yeah, I don't I don't engage in that, but I yeah. Would you be willing to give a duck? No, I don't do the wave and yeah, I don't do that. Would you would you be willing to get ducked, like someone to duck you? Yeah. Sure. Yeah. Someone someone could come over and drop a duck on you and you too. Would you may I please have another?
Stat BoyWho would you like to duck you?
Dr. TATYeah. Do you have any Jeep owners that would be willing to duck you, you think? Yeah, I don't know. I'd have to like would Rich want to duck you reflect on all that. Yeah. Do you think if you and Rich ducked, like you ducked first, he ducked after, or there was some sort of mutual ducking, you'd be happy with it? Yeah, I'd have to I I have to see like what type of duck we're talking about. Is it a big duck or a small duck or short duck or a long duck?
Stat BoyAre we only allowed to duck one person at a time, like exclusively?
Dr. TATBecause i I bet if you got three ducks, like three people or three jeeps, you know, a duck, a duck, and a duck, then you're talking about a truck. It's the it's the tri-duck. Yeah. And then would you engage in a ducksum of sorts? I'd have to like see what I'm getting myself into, you know. Maybe yeah, I mean, you know, you you want to be wise in these situations. So you just want to know like what your guys'. You want to make sure that the duck is on the up and up as well, right? I mean, the last thing you want to do is mess up your Jeep with uh random ducking, right? Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, then I I do have one more duck picture that I could show you real quick. But I don't think I don't think this one's as high quality. I'll tell you, probably the lowest rated content we provide is ducked. This is also the Johnson statistic. So it's the oh whoa. So this is also from just Andrew. Panda Dan right now, folks, just to describe. Wow, look at that. He's just showing us random pictures that then have been duckified. And now we have a picture of the MLB logo. Yeah. The MLB logo now has a yellow duck with an orange bill instead of the nose and normal hat bill.
Stat BoyBut there's a description here above that. Dan, can you read that for us? Did you read the description? What does it say?
Dr. TATOur our two-year-old kept pointing at every MLB logo and saying duck. I was so confused at first and kept correcting him. Now I can't unsee it. Oh my god. I'm with him now. He's a genius. I mean, yeah. Why did you show us that photo? Now I'm gonna, that's kind of like have you ever seen when it comes to FedEx? You know there's a secret logo inside the FedEx? Oh, I know. Do you know what the secret FedEx logo is? No. So next time you see a FedEx truck, if you look at where the D and the E, uh so it's F E lowercase D, right? At capital F, lowercase E and D, and then a capital E. Where the D and the E meet, they're they're conjoined in a way that the or no, is it the between the E and X? I always forget.
Stat BoyBetween the E and the X.
Dr. TATYeah, that makes much more sense. It shows an arrow pointing. Really? Yeah. It's a hidden logo. Now I'm just gonna look. Now quick question for you, because I'm gonna tangent off of this tangent. Yes, please. Okay, we're gonna double check. How do we get to sports is what I'm looking for. That's that's there's no ducking way we're getting to sports. But the NBA logo is famously known as the Jerry West logo, right? It's a yes, it's kind of similar to the base like similar color scheme. That's my question. Is is the MLB logo a specific player from any historical context?
Stat BoyMLB logo.
Dr. TATThe major league baseball now.
Stat BoyI think it's also a Dutch person. I think I think it's also very difficult to see which hand the batter is in the photo. It's not very easy to see their hand location, like if it's in the front. He's got to be a righty. You don't think he's a righty? I don't know. Because usually you can tell by where the hands are located.
Dr. TATPull up the logo again. You assume, right? So the picture for an MLB logo, and I encourage everyone listening to the podcast to look up at the MLB logo. The ball's coming, let's assume, left to right, correct? Yeah. You gotta assume that then it's probably going on the inside, right? Because we're seeing much of that shoulder there. I think the ball is closer to us than the person. So I think it might be a lefty. I think you're correct. I think it's I didn't say either. I just I'm don't know what it is. I think it's a lefty. You think? Yeah. Yeah. But my question was not as much what handedness this person is, but rather whether there is a person that they modeled that picture from. So there is a myth that they think it they believe it's Harmon Killibrew.
Stat BoyExcuse me. A second baseman. Harmon Killibrew. Yes, Harman Killibrew.
Dr. TATAnd what what's his story?
Stat BoyOh man, I mean, I gotta die, I gotta die in there, but he's one of the best second basemen of all time. I remember that.
Dr. TATAll right, so let's put a pin in that. But generally speaking, we now have hit our duck quota. There was a Philly name. Wasn't there Brandon Duckworth, like a pitcher?
Stat BoyYeah, absolutely. Pretty mediocre. And they had the duck pawn up in the 700 section. Oh, what a great stretch of Philly's baseball. Yeah. Just the best. Fan groups were fantastic. The fan groups were fantastic.
Dr. TATThe Wolf Pack was probably the best.
Stat BoyRandy Wolf.
Dr. TATI liked Padilla's Flootillas. Yeah. That was a very good one. He was actually a good pitcher, too. So it's kind of like made.
Stat BoyYeah. And he had I like Robert's person, and there was like one dude that represented Robert Person in his hand.
Dr. TATDid you did you guys remember the guy who was close enough to the audio for the thing who would go, Everybody gets a hit?
SPEAKER_04Woo-hoo!
Dr. TATAnd then he would just do it all the time. And then he would also say, Everybody gets it out when it would when we were on defense. What do you think that guy's doing? Yeah. There was like a whole like Yeah, I remember like Comcast Sportsnet, like Michael Barkhan and all, they did like a whole uh segment on him back in the day. Everybody hits. I think that I'm gonna I'm gonna now delve into a little thing we call sports. The Philadelphia Phillies. We are floundering to some degree, although I did see a tweet on X, and I I'm not on X, but I can sometimes find content. Content finds me in many aspects. That after 120 games, the 1980 Philadelphia Phillies were 64 and 56, the 2008 Philadelphia Phillies, 64 and 56, the 2026 Philadelphia Phillies after 120 games record was 64 and 56. 64 and 56. So I mean And that just to remind our listeners, what happened in 1980 and 2008? Like why is that relevant? They won a lot of games. Yeah. They did something. They they won the World Series. Yeah. Yeah. So we we should say that not only am I going to be on Broad Street about 10 months from now celebrating a Sixers championship. I'm gonna be on Broad Street in about two and a half months from now celebrating Philadelphia Phillies World Series. I'm just gonna spend all my time on Broad Street because I think we're going four for four this year, folks. I mean, I love the World Series.
Stat BoyI would love to see the Phillies win one. It's gonna be tougher, though. I mean, they've been struggling rather late, and there's a lot of concern for them in the playoffs this year. We'll see. They're bullpen kind of and lost one of the guys they just picked up.
Dr. TATBased on that random fact that has no bearing whatsoever on future outcomes, they're going to win the World Series. Of course, of course. So I think we should just accept it, right?
Stat BoyI'm in.
Dr. TATI mean, we'll see. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They just gotta get in. They gotta get in. Stan's contemplating it. I think they're like the five right now. They're I've been five yeah, I've educated myself on baseball recently, and they're it's pretty interesting. I mean, you got Yeah, you have the Dodgers, like best team in the National League. You got the Brewers are very good. So two teams get to buy, so it might be Brewers, Dodgers. Dodgers Brewers, I should say, one, two. Uh-huh. And then Braves would be the three. They they got a handle on the NL or the yeah, the NL East. And then and then you have the Cubs, Phillies, so four or five, and then probably Diamondbacks or Padres six. So so the four plays the so Phillies would probably play at the Cubs, you know, regularly that would be fun, you know. So what's the big event you were telling me about earlier that's upcoming for the Phillies? Oh, Field of Dreams. Yeah. So that's so it's like so we we're at a moment in time here. We're at sort of a fork in the road. So we could so that we could fast forward to later this week. We got to Field of Dreams in Iowa. We could rewind a little bit. We had Chase Utley retire wall Wall of Fame induction. Yeah, full of things. Someone else too, right?
Stat BoyWasn't it just Chase? Oh, just Chase, okay.
Dr. TATNow they I think they did recently have like the Cooperstown ceremony, which we probably should have covered that. I forget. There were some interesting names in that. Now that wasn't Chase, but Chase was the Wall of Fame, which is kind of cool. So so choose your own adventure is what you're asking, Panda. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. I think we go chronological, right? So last Friday, Chase Utley was placed into what? The Wall of Fame. Wall of Fame. Yeah. So if you go to Toyota. Toyota. Hey, that's my wall of fame. No Jeep Wall of Fame, no duck and way. Just a sponsor plug there for something like Toyota. So we all go to Phillies games. So when you walk in that center field entrance now, yeah, you know, you see that big picture of every there's pictures of fill great Phillies all over the place, and Chase was added to that. Okay. Nice. Whoever sculpts those, I think, could probably do a better job. Someone tweeted that actually. Like the the pick the sculptures of these players like kind of looks nothing like the Well, he looks like a duck or something. Yeah, but how's he look?
Stat BoySculpting's not easy. I mean, I think if you look at a couple people's, they're like, that doesn't look like that guy.
Dr. TATYeah.
Stat BoyWho's the other one that was pretty bad?
Dr. TATTroy Aikman. But no, it was great. I mean, to see the like uh as Philly's always do a great job with that alumni stuff. I mean, you had a bunch of the a lot of them were like older. I was joking with my dad. It kind of looked like uh I don't want to be disrespectful, but I don't know. It kind of looked like like a retirement community just got let out or something. I I don't know. It was just like a lot of guys came out like with yeah, they were just were older fellows, older fillies. Oh Dan. What an ageist. Nah, no. But it was but it good for them to be able to come out. Yeah, the great, you know, Mike Schmidt was there, Bull Kaczynski, Lieberthal was there randomly. But it was interesting. Like I'm assuming Chase like chose this. So one honor. So J. Roll was there, you know, he's the man. Pat Burrow gave like his intro speech for that was we've talked about Pat Burl a couple weeks ago. Yes, we have. So that was awesome. And then he did a great job. Burrow looked good, but he still looked like he like even Pat Gillick was there. He was in a wheelchair, like it was it was you know, older, older fellas, but you're really hard on the city. It's great that they were there. No, it was just like striking. I mean, Charlie was there. It's like they're so old. I can't stand it. No, no, no. No, it was great. And so I the whole time I was like, where's Ryan Howard? And he was the one that uncovered. Yeah, he was the one that uncovered the the plaque on the wall of fame. Oh, right. Because they always have someone, yeah, they have someone like kind of off field who's right across from there. Yeah. Because who else went in the wall of fame this past year, like this current season? Because Chooch was over there unveiling that person. Who was it? It was another 08 player. Wasn't it looked at? Maybe I don't know. I don't think it was Hamels. I think Hamels has already gone in, but somebody else got in. It might have been J-Roll, actually.
Stat BoyYeah. I think. Oh, yeah, I was there. We were there, right? Yeah. I forgot about that.
Dr. TATYeah, there you go. And I think Chooch might have un unveiled it. Yeah. Yeah. So it's like who intros them? Oh, and the other great thing about Chuck. The three of us were at that game, right?
Stat BoyThat wasn't this year.
Dr. TATThat was last season. That was the Duran, uh the first uh Duran. Yeah, it was the first game for Duran. They had this the Durant come out. That's right. Okay. So we went to that game. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Boy, the the awesome thing. Who are you calling old? Yeah. Chase came out to they had like a live, it was some kind of like children's, like talk about ageism. So then we there was like a children's band that had like played Cashmere, his entrance music. Like a group of kids. Led Zeppelin. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Stat BoyLike a group of kazoo players?
Dr. TATYeah, like the xylophones and stuff. No, like they were playing like credit to them. It looked like a school band playing Cashmere, Led Zeppelin, Chase comes out. The other I mean, I'm probably offending a lot of people here, but like I mean, you've hit the old, you've hit the old and the young. Who else are you gonna attack? Well, I'm gonna Chase Utley always had like this beautiful brown hair, right? And then it was almost as if overnight he'd had a fool head of white hair, you know? Kind of creepy. I mean, we don't spikes it up too. We don't talk about celebrities, but I totally agree. Someone like Chase Utley, when he retired, he was like, he went probably went to his barber and he's like, give me the Ellen de Generous. You know, just I want to look with this brosty, straight up hair. And I I agree with you. I don't I don't love it. I know. Like I don't think anyone's like, wow. Yeah, like I don't know. But his face is still the same. Okay, so you've offended the man of honor, Chase Uplate. You've offended how old everybody was, and then you made fun of the kids who did a kazoo version of cashmere. Yeah. But Pat Burl looked great. Pat Burl, I mean he's he's untouchable. No notes. No notes, Pat. You're a beautiful and his hair looked great, actually. Oh yeah. Do you think uh Pat Burl probably gets a haircut, what, once every three days or something? Probably. He seems like a highly two-time world champ. He seems heavily groomed. Like he's a well-groomed man. Yeah, yeah. I mean, yeah. Yeah, Burroughs. And yeah, Howard looked good. He's still he still looks like he could go out there and swing, which you can. I thought he lost a little bit of weight when I saw him at the All-Star break in a good way. Not a negative. Because I feel like he's, you know, he's dropped a few LBs in a good way.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah.
Dr. TATNot atrophied. I don't I'm not calling him old like you are. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, so so that so so that was good. That was good for Chase. I would encourage it's on like YouTube. You could it's about 30 minutes. You could watch the whole. I watched it with uh some of my family members. It was a great watch. You could watch, you know, from the all the sp the entrances, the speech. I yeah, I didn't I actually didn't hear Pat the Bat speech. Yeah, but that would be very interesting. Yeah, and I I guess I never knew that Chase and Pat were that tight. Like I, you know, I just always thought, I mean, what a team, you know. I mean, I I mean Howard, uh even my I was talking to my mom about it. Pedro Feliz. Yeah, I mean it's those role players, but then you're happy. I mean the grey coast, yeah, butter the toast. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Victorino works.
Stat BoyBrunt might I mean his team was stacked.
Dr. TATYeah, it was just those big three Rollins, Howard and Ut the like what a what a what a yeah, they were pretty good. Cole Hamels was pretty good. Yeah, Myers, Joey Blanton, Joey Donuts, Joey James, Jamie Moyer, Brad Lynch, Brett Myers. Yeah, can we name them all? Who else? I mean, Brett Myers had some. Oh, who was the um the the setup guy was pretty good for Lidge too? What's his name? Madsen? Yeah, and then Romero. Yeah, I liked Madsen. It was yeah, they had a seventh, eighth, ninth like combo. Chad Durbin. Chad Durbin.
Stat BoyChad Durbin. Yeah, yeah. It was all right. That was uh what else did we have here? AJ Happ was on the team. Oh, no, my favorite of all these players, obviously, Adam Eaton. Adam Eaton. Yeah.
Dr. TATRemember when he got his ring? Yeah, that was pretty sweet. Yeah.
Stat BoyHe got destroyed.
Dr. TATSo we have we've had the Wall of Fame that you hated and was full of decrepit old people and kids singing a song they shouldn't have sung. What about the Field of Dreams? What are your thoughts on that? Yeah, so that's coming out at the end of this week, I think. I don't I don't know exactly what day. Is that tomorrow?
Stat BoyIt is on a non-disclosed day of Thursday.
Dr. TATThursday. Okay, so it's on the 13th of August. We don't know when we're podcasting now. Time is a relative construct made up by everybody, agreed upon. Yes. Right. Yeah, so I'm told I was talking to someone today about it while in in my in my day job, and they said I asked how many people can go go to that event at the Field of Dreams that's in. Do you know what state it's in? I believe you said it earlier, but I'm gonna guess Iowa. All right, where in Iowa? Des Moines. Dino. DeLancey. Dino. Ames. Iowa City. Dyersville. Dyersville. That sounds very threatening. Dyersville? Okay, so Dyersville, Iowa. So it's exclusively on Netflix. Oh, wow.
Stat BoySo whoever the Phil is playing. They're playing, I believe, a card?
Dr. TATTwins. The Warriors? The twins. Twin. Yeah, I heard it's 8,000 as a capacity, someone told me.
Stat BoyI think they're like 1,000 plus.
Dr. TATReally? Yeah, I heard that. I mean it it's it's a it's a seems pretty cool, right? It's a good idea. I mean It's a good idea. I don't I if you build it, they will come. If if you're going to do something promotional, you know, I would put this well below the NHL open open stadium whatever classic series, but you know, it's a good idea. I so I've never seen Field of Dreams. Have you, either of you gentlemen, the film with Costner? With Mr. Costner, Kevin, Kevin Costner. That's where they you know he plays golf and he hits it into a tin cup. No, that's that's tin cup. Oh. Yeah. It's all yeah. I mean I've seen it all in the world. He's not in it's not the one where he's surrounded by water over the world, is it? Oh, water wolves? Oh, yeah, that's right. It's not the one.
Stat BoyIt's not the one where there's wolves everywhere that are dancing. Oh, the wolves. Wolven dancing with wolves. Dances with wolves.
Dr. TATDid you see Dances with Wolves?
Stat BoyYeah.
Dr. TATI think we watched that. Yeah, you're a you're a dances with wolves guy. But but have you seen Field of Dreams? No, I mean it's on one of the TVs. Is it really? Right now in Panda Studios in an undisclosed location in Philadelphia. They're uh right now I'm watching Kevin Costner talk to Ray Leota, who, spoiler alert to everyone, is a ghost in the film. Really? He's dead. Just as he's dead now. What? Yeah. Ray Leota. Ray Leota died? Yeah. Yeah. Ray Leota's dead in both instances. No way.
Stat BoyShoot.
Dr. TATDo we need to know the price of the movie? What's the point of the movie? The point of the movie is that it was the predecessor to the Major League Baseball Twins Phillies game.
Stat BoyThat's not correct.
Dr. TATThat's not correct. Here, give me a bit give me a brief synopsis.
Stat BoyBrief synopsis.
Dr. TATPlease, and thank you. All right.
Stat BoyUm it's uh it's a farmer who builds a baseball field in a cornfield that attracts ghosts of baseball legends, including Shingless Joe Jackson, who's Rain Leona by the white the Black Sox. And that's really it. Oh, great. He builds a field to bring back these old legends.
Dr. TATSo it's really honestly like the Iowa version of Ghostbusters, essentially. Like he's trying to catch ghosts, but he decides to do it in a like cornfield. Yeah. And most people who attract cornfield ghosts use a scarecrow, right? That's what scarecrows are for. Yeah. Is to attract ghosts in a cornfield. Yeah, not to scare away scrows or anything. Right, correct. But the one thing about Field of Dreams that I know is, and and Statboy very correctly, but I'd like to see him do it in his best James Earl Jones. There's a famous line he says, which is if you build it, they will come. That might be the worst James Earl drones. I thought that was they will come. Oh, that's even better. There you go. And what it makes me think about is all-time. We don't talk about movies here, and nor are we going to get into it. No slab movies. Panda. But can you name like what are the top four Hollywood voices of all time? Just a quick, let's do a brief Mount Rush more. We're due for one. James Earl Jones is my number one with a bullet, all-time Hollywood voice. Mufasa, Darth Vader, whoever he is in Field of Dreams. Purple, whatever. No, he's in. Is he in that what? I'm trying to think of the movie. Purple Rain Guy? No, not that's Prince. But Mufasa, right? I mean, just an all-time voice. Yeah, yeah. But I mean his one-liners, you know, like I'm your father. If you build it, they will come. Everything the light touches is part of your kingdom.
Stat BoyRight. I don't think that's the best one.
Dr. TATWhat's your favorite James Owl Jones quote? I mean, I'm ranking within a rank.
Stat BoyThe Luke, you know, I'm your father quote a lot. Yeah. I think most people connects with the faders.
Dr. TATBut J.E.J., right? He's our number one with a bullet, right? I don't think so. I mean, he's a in the first one. Who's your number one?
Stat BoyI think everyone else would think of this guy as the best. Morgan Freeman. Dude, that's who I was going to say. That's the best one.
Dr. TATEvery immediate thought. Morgan Freeman's a better voice than James Earl Jones. I think so. I mean, he's really good. James Earl Jones' base is so much better. But I It's distinct. Morgan Freeman's good. Don't get me wrong. Yeah. I think Morgan Freeman is the all-time Hollywood narrator. Like he does the best job. Like Shaw Shank, Green Mile. They used to have like he's not Green Mile, I'm sorry. He also didn't have a million dollar baby. Ah, okay. Yeah. Well, they used to joke like he could like you could be there's like walking to your car in the morning or walking to work, and like if you have Morgan Freeman narrating it, like everyone would be like fully attentive to I guess that's true. Yeah. Like they used to do like all right. So you got JEJ, I'm gonna argue, is better than Morgan Freeman, but they're both like one and one A, right? Two others you can think of that would fit that bill. I I have one in mind. Eddie Murphy. No. As donkey from Shrek? No, I don't think that's an all-time Hollywood. I need I want like the best depth of voice. Like someone I think Liam Neeson is an all-time voice is an all-time voice. That's good. And then if I had to do one more for my Mount Rushmore, I got J E J Buscemi. Morgan Freeman, not Steve Buscemi. Liam Neeson, and and I guess I did not explain this as well as I should have. I'm talking about like Paul Gi Jock Giamatti. Doesn't he do like funny voices? We are a Paul Giamatti podcast. Yes, we are. I'm thinking when I said voices, I I meant like depth and like like epicness of the voice. So I got JEJ, I've got Morgan Freeman, I've got Liam Neeson. Anybody else? Feel free. I like Tom Hanks. You like Tom Hanks? Yeah.
Stat BoyI think he's pretty iconic and Toys Time. Tim Allen. I mean, those two were really strong.
Dr. TATI think you're just picking character voices you enjoy. I think I'm just picking the movies I like the most and picking them. I'm trying to think. Check with Stat. Samuel Jackson. Yeah, we're definitely like missing. Check with Stat GBT real quick if you can.
Stat BoyYeah, prees and last. I really like them. We'll find a fourth. Don't Sutherland is a big one.
Dr. TATOoh, Connor. Connor? Yeah, Jane.
Stat BoyAnthony Hopkins? That that might be it. Boy, he's he's got a movie. We have the top two on this list here from INDB. What do you got? James Earl Jones and Liam Mason is on this list.
Dr. TATAnd then who's who's Sutherland? Donnie Sutherland. How do you feel about Donnie? Yeah, I mean, he looks like one of our friend's fathers, which is a great compliment. That's kind of nice, yeah. Ice Clown Senior, yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Great question. Well, thank thank you very much.
SPEAKER_04I'm glad you guys all enjoyed that. But everything the light touches. Yeah.
Stat BoyYeah, yeah. I'm sure our listeners will have some some say in this.
Dr. TATSo if they would like to chime in on their favorite, I would love I would love to go to a James Earl Jones impersonation contest and just see how many of those people are tall gingers like me.
Stat BoyIf we can just play it through a voicemail of some sort. How do we do that, Dan?
SPEAKER_04Is there any way that we could the number is 234 said hike.
Dr. TATYeah, no, we yeah, 234 said hike. We encourage all of our listeners or random explorers of our podcasts to call that number.
Stat BoyAnd if you're international, it's one two three four. Yeah, yeah. You can buy all one even if you're in the US. But if you're not in the US, it's unnecessary but appreciated if you do. It's implied here in the United States, number one.
Dr. TATYeah. Yeah. We I mean, you know, we we we don't disclose our our costs of this podcast, but we did we did invest a lot of money to develop that technology. So uh we obviously want to use it. We we sunk pizza odyssey with how much we put into this place. We're gonna provide it. We we will eventually. Yeah, it's kind of like a loan, like we're gonna like pay them back for it. But but yeah, definitely use the hotline and whatever you want to talk about, any topic. You know, it's good stuff. What I want to talk about now, Panda, are the Philadelphia Eagles. Yeah. Yeah. Give me the updates. Yeah. Training camp. So we are at midweek here. We got so we got the first so it's a game week. We got the first preseason game this Saturday in Baltimore.
Panda DanNo, who's playing?
Dr. TATEagles at the Baltimore Ravens where Stat Boy once lived in there. Into that, yeah. We're we're going to that layer of hell. It's in a band football town. It's a disgusting cesspool of a place. I hope they I hope they avenge Mad Max Crosby. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, but no, it's it's a it's a yeah, like a lot of you know, no breaking news, I would say, but there's a lot of sure, sure are a lot of like interesting position battles going on. Vibes are good. Vibes seem good for the birds. Vibes are good. Uh, but yeah, I mean, pick pick your position, you know, center, like wide receiver. Yeah. So I mean, wide receiver, you got so Demont, so De Monte and Makkay are out with hamstring injuries. Are they gonna make the team, you think? Yeah, they're gonna make the team. Yeah, yeah. All right. But then you got so Darius Cooper, who you've spoken about. What do you think? Carlton State. He they said he looks awesome. He's Jalen Hurts gave him a high praise. So he's definitely in the discussion. I I apologize. I I would listen to our podcast last week. I said Devontae Wicks, it's Dontavian Wicks. Tay Wicks. Tay Wicks, yeah, yeah. So Tay Wicks is still, you know, like he's he's earning the trust. Like I think he might be the number two wide receiver come opening day against the Clarendons. I really like Hollywood Brown. Like, I know people, not a whole lot of people are talking about him, but I just like his whole demeanor. Like, you could just tell he was once, like he was once like a you know, bona fide wide receiver one. He seems to have that confidence. It's really just health with him. I think he could be the number four wide receiver on this team. Are we gonna play for? I mean, we'll see. We'll see. Yeah. I mean, with Mannion, man, he likes to spread the ball. He does like to rotate the receiver. Elijah Moore is another guy that was a high draft pick.
Stat BoyHe's actually getting a lot of praise with his connection for Hurts. There's a lot of discussion about how they're connected.
Dr. TATYeah, yeah.
Stat BoySo he's there. Johnny Wilson's coming back from injury. Oh, wait, real quick, Elijah Moore went to college where? Ole Miss. Who else went to Ole Miss? AJ Brown. We I think the back of the train they just brought him in to think they were gonna help scoop that over.
Dr. TATSo Eliza was like AJ's like mentor. He was a former New York Jet and Cleveland Brown. Yeah, he was a brownie. But I think a second round pick or first round, like both him and Hollywood Brown are first and second round picks. Yeah. So who's gonna be the starting three wideouts, if you had to guess right now? Let's assume everyone's healthy. Week one. Week one. We're gonna assume health? We're gonna assume health.
Stat BoyLike that they're healthy. I think Lemon has lost too much time in camp to give him a shot. I totally agree.
Dr. TATYou don't think he cracks top three?
Stat BoyI personally think he's a bust already. No. He is a bust. He's gonna be good.
Dr. TATU S-T. Oh, shut up. So you don't think he's top three receiver of week one. Just because of the initial. I don't think he'll be a top three receiver on this team in a year. What? I think Darius Darius Cooper. That's my next question. Darius Cooper is a stud. He's gonna have a breakout season.
Stat BoyI mean, I think Lemon will be the guy. They put the draft capital on him. There's no way they're gonna start Darius Cooper next year over Lemon just because he looks a little better.
Dr. TATDude, I'm telling you. What about Hollywood Brown, though? He's not even gonna take a cut. I think it's gonna be it's gonna be Devontae. How much do we keep is the question? Yeah, Devontae. Well then you also got Britain Covey and you got Quez Watkins. Oh, they're both gone.
Stat BoyWhat about the uh Johnny Wilson, right? Johnny Wilson. Gone, gone. Well, they're gonna do package squad, right?
Dr. TATI don't think Emmy's gonna pick up the side. You're probably going five. I mean, Covey's got the punt returning ability. So like, you know, he's got the going. He'll make a spot for the special teams. And I guess you're right. Technically, he's in the wideout room.
Stat BoyActually, speaking of Covey, a couple weeks ago, actually, I think it was in OTAs, they were doing uh they were doing a video of Britt Covey's hammy route. His hammy route. Yeah, he ran a hammy route. Is that what hurt Devante basically? He basically starts in a normal receiver position. He takes like probably five yards up to the corner. He does like a turnaround, like a almost like a hook, and then he grabs his hamstring and then he turns around and then goes to the end zone and scores. Double move is faking an injury to his hamstrings and it worked. Did it work?
Dr. TATHe's a smart guy. Against uh Rick Woolen. Yeah. That's kind of funny. I saw Cubby once at Whole Foods in Philadelphia. I said hi to him and he said hi. Yeah. Was he driving a Jeep? No, in Whole Foods. No ducking occurred. He also has a very famous grandfather who I don't know if you guys know about that. America Covey or he wrote like the seven habits of affected people. Franklin Franklin Cubby. That's his either his grandfather or his great grandfather. Yeah.
Stat BoyWow. How very trivial. From Utah. But he didn't write the seven habits of effective wide receivers. No. Because Fred is certainly not reading that book.
Dr. TATI've never read that book. Have you? No. Yeah. All right, let's move on. I guess that's why we're doing this podcast. So we've got No, but I'd love to get your guys' yeah, like that's interesting intel. If you don't think Lemon's gonna be three, so I mean some people still think it's gonna be two. I'm talking week one 2028. I think by the end of the season whole work is way better than that. But let me ask, yeah. So you're behind Cooper, like Staboy. If you let's just say Lemon for some reason can't like who do you think's the four or the three in the case that Lemon's not available?
Stat BoyAre you Cooper is Smith one, Wicks two? Yeah. I think it is a paddle, probably a battle between Moore and Cooper. I think they do like Cooper only because he has some history. So not Brown. I don't know. I mean he hasn't really played. Brown's cut. I don't even think he's making the team. I don't I I think he's smaller and he's lost. He rides more of a you know a long down the field type guy, and I think the third receiver is gonna be more your slot type. So who do you want in there doing some shifty stuff? I don't think Brown is that more Cooper. Brown would be more of like a replacement for one of the outside receivers if they got hurt. So they might keep him on the roster to be like, hey, we prefer him on the outside versus you know Cooper or Elijah.
Dr. TATI think Elijah is gonna be a slot too. I think your Darius Cooper is going to have a breakout year. I mean, he's like you heard it here first, folks. Dr. Tat's putting his stamp on DC. I remember distinctly little Tat and I sitting in the stands, Eagles Bengals, preseason last year, Jamar Chase had just smoked Adore, and we were all like, that's so amazing. And it's second, mid-second quarter. You're not really paying attention, but you're still watching. And he did a hitch route, because that's all we did that year, but he did a hitch route, and he came out of that, and the cut was just it was real. It was a NFL high-level route, and he juke the hell out of that Bengals player.
Stat BoyI'm holding me I think he has some ability, it's just a matter of is he consistent, and that's that's the thing in the NFL. You can't just be good occasionally, you have to be good all the time. Yeah, he's right in the middle.
Dr. TATHe's having an amazing I do.
Stat BoyI think they have him as the fifth guy on their normal depth chart. If he's playing well enough, he could ball to be a starter. Fourth, and maybe Darius Cooper is going to be a starting wideout for this team. Good for him. And Lemon is going to be a bust. We need to we need to have somewhere to save money on our roster, and it certainly will be our third receiver, fourth receiver.
Dr. TATSo yeah, so I think that's a big part of it. And then let's talk about the offensive line. Who do you think is going to play? I mean, we should probably bring up the most important thing. Yeah, the return of Yeah, so Lane's back. I think he listened to Seth and he was like, he came back like hours after we published. He probably had a great time. It's a great time at Kebles. Yeah, thanks, Lane, for listening. And you know, we're we're your biggest fan, so we appreciate it. We are. I love Lane Johnson. Yeah, like I his I mean his press conference was a little bit like sad in a way. Like I because I was just so abrupt. Like he was like, This is probably my last year. I it seems like he's going through some things. Like I his the way I read it, I didn't like read what reporters were saying, but it seemed like his parents have some kind of health issues going on from what I saw. Yeah. So that you know, that makes sense. I know he has kids to spoke about fatherhood, so that you know, that came into play. And but yeah, what a what a warrior, great, probably the greatest eagle of all time. And even during that press conference, his arms are just so big, you know, it's like crazy, you know. But uh, but yeah, we love Lane and it it did feel good to watch like Jalen Hurts and who uh Landon Dickerson speak. Like they were basically like, We gotta we gotta do this big for Lane this year, you know. So it's almost like a rallying cry to to have a big year for for the big man, you know. Feels feels like it's his last ride, and I I it's it's ironic. Is that to combat LeBron's last dance? Yeah, exactly. This is his last ride, and the truth is I think we're in a rare instance where we don't have another tackle waiting in the wings, realistically. I don't think I I think Markel Bell is having a good camp, but I don't think we think of I think he's groomed to be like the next Fred Johnson. We could go, we could lose two Johns in one season after this, and and we're gonna have to replace our Johnsons, and you know, if we're gonna be able to get the offensive line to its level of perennial, you know, excellence, right? You gotta have a strong, the two strong tackles. Luckily, we did sign our other Jalen to a long term, so we're we're good on the Jalen's, but the Johnsons. Jalen's are good. Johnsons are kind of hanging on. They're they're really coming in here rather limp. You know, it's not it's not the great and and yeah, and Fred Johnson's not having too old. Yeah, yeah. We've got some old Johnsons, and they're really not doing what we want them to do. They're just not rising up as quickly as they used to. And yeah, and I and we should say that the Lane Johnson, our our main Johnson. The primary Johnson. He came late, but he did come. It's very important he got it. He definitely showed up.
Stat BoyHe did show up, right? He just he just like bursted out of that that like the field house where everything came out as well, the locker room.
Dr. TATThey actually had been running and flew right out. And he just kept he kept coming. He was just running, running out there. He didn't stop. He had good burst, good speed, good intensity, good for the age, it was impressive. He's an explosive guy. An explosive Johnson. Yeah, I would say, right? Good penetration out on the right tackle side there. Yes. Yeah, that's typically from the defense, but that's fair. I think you're trying to do that. Sounds like a crude pun that Panda's trying to do, which I don't really enjoy.
Stat BoyWhere are you going with that one?
Dr. TATSo caught up in the comments. What I'm most excited for is watching Willie Lampkin, who another no, it's interesting. Yeah, Steve me? Yeah. Yeah, so it's kind of like there's I mean, so the stor there's no starting battles on the O-line right now. So Steen Willie Lampkin. But but yeah, I mean, I'm kind of at a yeah. I mean, you got what's so just for our listeners too. Willie Lampkin's about what I don't even know if he's 5'11. He's 5'10. 5'10, yeah. So he's got a 100. 5'10, three-quarters ran a 5'2. Are there any offensive linemen in the NFL that are under that at that height? I don't know. Not yet. Yeah. He's he's going to break in. If if you listened to our earl very early episodes, we spoke high on Willie Lampkin probably in like November of 25. So we've been big on him. He went to North Carolina, he's undrafted. Good. I mean, they said like uh Landon Dickerson said he's like a secret weapon. He's our secret weapon. He's got very, you know, good strength. I mean, you would know all about that, Dr. Tap. I do really like the guy he's sort of competing with too, though, Drew Kendall. Drew Kendall went to Boston College. He his father played in the NFL for about 13 years. Seems like a great guy. Jordan Davis has been talking him up. So I mean, right there we have two good depth players that could probably I mean Lampkin's probably a center, but Kendall could probably play guard as well.
Stat BoyYeah, I think they said that he would be the first one in the rotation. Like if something happened to our center or guard, it would it would be Kendall. That's that's current. Yeah, Lampkin is rising.
Dr. TATWe'll see. It'll be a good preseason game battle. Like we'll see. And just you wait, brother. Just wait until we watch this guy play. I I'm telling you, he is going to show some real sparks here. Yeah. I am I am all in. I'm all out on Lemon and I'm all in on Lampkin.
Stat BoySpeaking of being all out, I think there's a lot of quiet uh showed up play by our second round pick in Stours. Uh there's been a very like he's been very quiet. He hasn't played out.
Dr. TATThat's a great point, Stab Boy.
Stat BoyThat's gonna be another person to watch. Yeah, he's definitely a big time guy. He's a second round pick. He's a former quarterback.
Dr. TATI know that's so they said he reads defenses.
Stat BoyHe's not a blocking tight end, so Johnny Munt will likely take the blocking duties. Johnny Munt. We know and then you got G Calc, but I haven't I haven't heard a word about G. Yeah, he's probably he's he's probably gonna get cast.
Dr. TATHe might be going in with Hollywood Brown, you know. But I I like Hollywood Brown. I mean, I don't know. That'd be a weird duo, but he's a very four-ish tight end, right? But but the thing is Well, they also got Lato. He might he's a blocking spectrum. Yeah, Cam Laudon. I do think one of the big things is do we think that Howie just missed this draft? Was this did he was he like smelling his own farts here and just kind of felt like got high on his own supply? I mean, Markel Bell, like Lane spoke extremely highly of Markel Bell. Yeah, but maybe that's first and second picks. I think sometimes with Lane, I think he just hypes these guys out too. Like he hyped up Steen for the longest time. And then I think it was more just like hey. Yeah, like I think he just tries to like motivate them, sort of. Like a true leader. Yeah. But yeah, we'll see. I mean, yeah, Lemon Stau. I mean, Stours, uh, yeah, it's a good point. Step boy. I haven't I I haven't heard much about him, but that's a lot of draft capital, right? A second round draft pick that we what we decided to get like X quarterback tight end that's gonna be like kind of a pseudo-wide out. Yeah. I mean, really none of the rookies this year. Like usually there's all even when you were talking about Darius Cooper, or I always think of like Blankenship is the I know Blankenship's not here, but he was like always like the model, like undrafted guy that made the team and became a starter.
Panda DanYeah.
Dr. TATAnd then Cooper was like the Cinderella of the team last year, training camp last year. Yeah. Like this year, yeah, no not yet. I mean, maybe it'll change with preseason, but there haven't been any like rookies. It's it's more been like Lampkin or I mean people love UR Bernard, but he's like light years away. He's a couple years away. Yeah, but he he's cool, obviously. Or the other guy, Waru, the other guy from the rugby guy. Yeah. Waru or something. Ubar? Ubar? No, no. Not Bernard. Joshua were he's like an edge guy. Yeah, he's like a rugby guy, but he they're both from that international program. One guy I wanted to ask you about, too, no one talks about, but he was like a fourth round pick last year. Ty Robinson, it seems like he's struggling. Yeah, he's he's not kind of. Yeah, like Vic then Vic was like, well, he had a good day, but it's like he's kind of a shame. I thought he would be a pretty good player. I think they did two, and I think it was rare because it it went against the grain for Howie, which is he drafted older and he drafted from Nebraska. Both bad ideas. Old Nebraskan dudes don't play well in the league. So that was seems like Byron Young is a little bit ahead of him. He's like an undrafted guy. Yeah. So I mean, the thing is, I I think Howie might have I'll be honest with you, he he couldn't have drafted better with Quinyon and Cooper, right? Those are two. If you do a redraft, those two are probably top ten draft picks, and we got one in the second round and the other one late first round without having to trade capital. I think he might have whiffed.
Stat BoyLook, let's slow down on the how we hate that here. Look, look, how he actually, I think his one of his best rounds he drafts out of is the second round. I mean, historically here, we had Cooper DeGene's second round pick. Okay. Cam Jurgens was a second round pick. Dickerson was a second round pick. Our current Super Bowl MVP quarterback is.
Dr. TATAnd also Coop, like Cooper DeGene was hurt that whole preseason, you know, rewind. So like we were like, if we were doing this podcast, then like we probably would have been like, all right, Coop doesn't, you know, like like he's he wasn't a that's a fair point.
Stat BoyAnd the coup de grace of the second round for Howie is actually tight end. He drafted Goddard outside of the second round. I think so.
Dr. TATI know Goddard was Goddard was first round. He was 49. He was 32nd.
Stat BoyNo, is he 40?
Dr. TATHe was the he was our first pick in the first round after we won the Super Bowl. Yeah, I think he was late first. Yeah, yeah. 32nd pick because we had just won the Super Bowl. Was he? Yeah. Stours is. He's as close to the second round as you can get, though. That is fair. He was drafted the 49th overall pick. Second round. Who was the first pick in that draft? That draft? Yeah.
Stat BoyWhat was our 32nd pick? Did we trade it down? I think that was the draft we traded out of for to Baltimore for them to draft Lamar Jackson. Oh wow.
Dr. TATBecause they were not.
Stat BoyThey were trying to get back in to the first round to get that extra year for Lamar.
Dr. TATWhat if we had drafted Lamar then? Boy, talk about a crazy change of events. Yeah. Yeah. I think Stowers will be I think he'll be good to be honest. He's got all the tools. I think he's tools in his body. We we should have drafted a tackle to take over Lane's spot. I mean, and I'd say messed up. Yeah. Another guy that I think is due for a big year, which he had a great year last year, is Jelix Hunt. Oh, yeah. I mean, people are high on him. Stock up, baby. Is he going to get any reps, you think, in this this preseason game? I don't know. Yeah. Vic usually they don't think Vic historically likes to play put people, but I feel like Siriani won't let him. Yeah.
Stat BoyBut then they've got a lot of you got a lot of like back and forth here. You want to you want to see the new offense, right? You want to see how many players play in the offense, but you also don't want to risk any injury.
Dr. TATYeah, I think it's going to be brother milktose, but I do think you're going to see you're going to see the red rifle throw into Darius Cooper for multiple touchdowns. That's another battle, the red rifle versus Tanner. Yeah, what's going on? They gotta be there. It seems like they're gonna trade one of them or something. I don't know. Especially like you said the Falcons. Don't you think the Falcons would take Tanner McKee. Although you could probably get a pretty good draft pick. Some people wonder about JJ McCarthy now becoming like quote unquote on the market since he lost the quarterback battle with Minnesota. Yeah, Kyler Murray. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. So we'll see. I'm very excited. And then safety is interesting too. Epps and Michael Carter. I like Epps. I I feel like both are good. Hopefully they probably need honestly a little bit of time out there, maybe a series or two. Yeah. Are you gonna watch the game? Yeah. I'm heading to the shore this weekend, which I'm excited about. But yeah, I'm gonna try to watch it. Oh, good. I'll definitely be all I appreciate the half-hour harded effort. No, like I want to. It just sometimes, yeah, like I'll see what I'm doing, where I'm at. I mean, you could be I mean you could be trading ducks with someone. I mean I could be driving my Jeep, waving a Jeep. You might be like three or four ducks. I'll watch. You know, I'm gonna be fully engaged. Like I'm super pumped. It's Saturday night, you know? Saturday night football. So if an eagle takes on a raven, who do you like in that matchup? Clearly the raven. You think a raven could take down an eagle? Well, that that sounded real. Yeah. I I'm a fan. I mean, a raven is much smaller than an eagle, right? It'll get torn apart. Now, crows are actually very smart. Did you know they're a very intelligent bird? Yeah, I didn't. I'm kind of glad the NFL doesn't have a crow team because if there was like the Kansas City Crows, I'd be pretty worried about them. The crafty crows are crows around here in Delco. Oh, yeah, they're smart too. Yeah. Have you met a Delco Crow? Yeah, I saw a few, probably like um three weeks ago. They were all in my right when I pulled up my Jeep after work. Yeah, they they were all out there. Did you give them a wave? Nah, I just like kind of stared them down. Yeah. Oh, you stared down. Yeah. No crows are not not in a uh there was no an animus unit. No, it was kind of like uh they were it was kind of like neutral. It wasn't like like we're buddies, it wasn't like apathy. But they weren't scared, like they were just they were just like, what are you doing? What are they gonna be scared of? They're crows. Yeah. But yeah, how are they so yeah, like they always say they're super intelligent. I remember I Googled it. Like hurry, I was just like, yeah, why are they so smart? But did you get an answer? I'm trying to think like what yeah, I'm trying to remember why they were so smart.
Stat BoyWell, I I kind of have an idea. Well, they say actually crows have comparable intelligence to a seven-year-old human. Oh, nice. Or a great ape. So your seven-year-old human is as smart as great eight.
Dr. TATWhere where is he in like the bird intelligence? Probably right. They're probably smarter than an eagle, right?
Stat BoyYeah. I don't know. But they're saying that despite the walnut-sized brain that this thing has, he says the high neuron density allows them to make tools that recognize human faces, and then understand complex physical concepts like water displacement.
Dr. TATYeah, thank God we're not taking on the crows. I mean, yeah, they're pretty smart. Water displacement. Like if they drop a rain or a bird. A raven's not a crow, right? A raven is not a crow. That's correct. A raven is a raven. Yeah. But yeah, the Baltimore Ravens, real quick before we get to our fan mail, what are the odds? Like, we gotta go tail of the tape here. It's the first one of the year. Yeah. Pre-season game. It is Saturday night, 7 p.m. In Baltimore. In the cesspool, that is MT Bank Stadium, Baltimore, Maryland.
Stat BoyMT. Yep. You can buy tickets as low as $45 there if you want to travel down there and hang out. Don't do that. Yeah. Go go to uh Jacksonville, New Orleans or $8. Oh, yeah. No, thank you. The line is set at I don't know.
Dr. TATI would say Baltimore is a favorite by like three. Nope.
Stat BoyPhilly is a favorite by three and a half.
Dr. TATHell yeah. Let's go. And we're not dealing with the preseason John Harbaugh Ravens, which are one of the greatest preseason teams of all time. No, now we're gonna have to deal with Giants in the proseason. So we don't have to deal with one of the best preseason teams of all time. Over under is 35 and a half. Do you bet the preseason?
Stat BoyLike, do people do that? I'm gonna bet the preseason. Is it like sharpen your skill for the regular season, too? Is it kind of like, hey, I it's just too unpredictable.
Dr. TATI've got the Eagles winning this matchup 28 to seven. Preseason champ. 28 to 7. We're gonna cover and we're gonna dominate. Nice. Who's their coach now? The Ravens. Is it the uh guy from the Browns? Todd Munkin. No, no, he's Browns.
Stat BoyI think it's the the former safety from the Chargers. Mentor? AJ Mentor?
Dr. TATI don't know. I can't for some reason I can't think of who the eight for the Ravens because of John Harbaugh leaving, who's a now a giant. Yeah, yeah.
Stat BoyIt's AJ Mentor.
Dr. TATOh, well, very unexciting. All right, let's get to some. All right, what are we gonna do? Sound-off? What do we what do we have? Do we have any kind of communication with the fans? Jesse Mentor. Jesse Mentor. That's what I was gonna say.
Stat BoyWe have a bunch of sound-offs from Slayer on.
Dr. TATYes.
Stat BoyAnd then we do have some other like voicemail.
Dr. TATWe do have a voicemail, yeah. Voicemail. Yeah. Yeah. And then we have Yeah, we might have a few like Instagram messages. All right, let's hit a quick sound off or two. Okay. You got any good ones? Uh I haven't looked at them. I'm as surprised as you are with these. Why don't you have to prepare for this podcast?
Stat BoyWell, you know, you would have a podcast.
Dr. TATYeah, that's it. Pregnant pregnant boss. Hold on. Do you have the set of UCMs?
Stat BoySo let's see here. We got a bunch of mentions from Malone. Make Malone. Man, I don't even know where to start.
Dr. TATI got one from the So I think I did like the first two last week.
Stat BoyOkay, here we got. Okay, so now there's a apparently there's a LeBron mural going up in Chinatown. Nice. It's it's already up painted. It's LeBron James dunking a basketball in a looks like a king's crown that is at the the lip of a wave cresting, like a blue, blue wave cresting. Yeah. Below that it's Benjamin Franklin holding his arms out, like when that that photo of LeBron in Miami where he gets that Al-U dunk and you throw it off. Oh, nice. So it's a pretty fantastic looking mirror.
Dr. TATOh, I'm looking forward to that. Do you d do you have the address? I'd like to go. I might drive by it tomorrow.
Stat BoyUh I don't have that, but I know it's in Chinatown.
Dr. TATAll right, so I'll just drive around Chinatown. I'll find it. Yeah.
Stat BoyJust look for all the people hanging around. Yeah. Quite a stat. So here's.
Dr. TATJust ask someone if you need it.
Stat BoyHere's a stat from eight. It's Jalen Hurst versus quarterback since 2023. So what what is his what is his records against some of these quarterbacks? So Mahomes. Undefeated. Four and oh.
Dr. TATHe probably is undefeated.
Stat BoyHe's 3-0. 3-8 Mahomes. Oh yeah. What about Stafford?
Dr. TATUndefeated. Yeah, undefeated. 1-0. 4-0 against Stafford. Great. I'm nailing it. Josh Allen. Yeah, undefeated. 2 0. 2-0. Correct. Joe Burrow.
Stat BoyHas he played in $200? 1-0. Correct. Yeah, 1-0. Lamar Jackson. He's beaten Lamar. So if we can just get them to only play these teams with these quarterbacks, we're going to go undefeated. That's the secret.
Dr. TATYeah, Jalen Hurts rock when it comes to those big games. The problem is that he then like loses to the Jets. And so he's like 0-1 against what's his name? The Jets quarterback. And he's like 0-1. He's like, I don't I feel like he's not, I don't know if he has a winning record against Dallas because he's missed so many of the Dallas acts. Dallas, he always struggles. Yeah, he always loses. Well, we won the one time at Dallas, but that was the sunlight game. Like the sun actually gave us the big assist. Yeah, yeah. No, I think he's like one and four at Dallas or something. Yeah, that's gonna be tough in Thanksgiving, man.
Stat BoyThat's gonna be a tough Thanksgiving game. Yeah.
Dr. TATYeah.
Stat BoyAnother really cool thing that happened for the Phillies by May Post, it was there was an auction winner to call the third inning on a radio for the Phillies. Oh, that's awesome. And apparently he did a fantastic job. It was the top of the third against the Nationals. So I I called it. Everybody go check that one out. Was he colored play by play? No, he was play-by-play. He was really good. Oh, he took Scott Fransky's job? Yeah, just for that. Just for that inning. That'd be great if then fired Fransky. Yeah. Yeah. It was like, this guy's way better than you. Yeah. So let me do one more. Yep. Okay. Pause. It's a lot of these are videos, so it's hard for me to talk about.
Dr. TATYeah, that's fine. You do you described the mural. You did a nice job describing the mural. Oh, this one's kind of funny.
Stat BoySo today Kyle Murley was kind of given yesterday. Kyle Murray was given the starting role for the Vikings. And at the press conference that he had, he was standing by you know at the podium. He his head just goes to the top of the mic. Yeah. Yeah. So yeah, he's a he needs like a step stool or something. Yeah. He's uh he's gonna I never get I never lose I always laugh at seeing those child versions of toddler run around like say it's Kyle.
Dr. TATThe the problem with Kyler Murray is he's not gonna look very big in in bright purple. That's like a very small color. It makes you it's kind of a smaller color. You know, he would look best in something a little bit bigger, like a bigger color for him would be like the I feel like the dolphins would be. Yeah, the red worked okay, but purple's gonna look tough on him. I feel bad.
Stat BoyWhat's a big color? Are we talking like something lighter or darker?
Dr. TATSomething lighter, I think. So maybe a dolphins white.
Stat BoyOh, the yeah, yeah, that would be like pretty bright, right?
Dr. TATYeah, bright colors. Or the Chargers Blue? Chargers blue would look good on him, but the purple is gonna be oof, it's gonna, he's gonna look like a toddler running out there. Okay.
Stat BoyOkay, do we want to get to our first ever first inaugural ones by voicemail?
Dr. TATNot from our past selves. Not our past selves. All right. Let's delay it on the side. Someone call 234 said hike. And is that the number you call? What is it? Yeah, 234 for air international cars. It's one two three four hike. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, it's a press in impressive uh we we pumped a lot of money into this. Yeah, and we got one response. That's really all we need. So it's one week. You know, this is game-changing technology, and we're really excited to listen to a who's let's give it a go.
Stat BoyAll right, here we go. We are we set? I think so. Let's see if the RD's got the aesthetics.
SPEAKER_01I am Tygo Tat, and I knew today how far you're ten times bigger than all the other people.
SPEAKER_00Anything else you guys want to say? Why do you why does Tommy always look you as asked is on the case?
Stat BoyOkay, so that there we go. It sounds like we had Tiger Tat and Princess Children Tat call in. So they must have stole that phone. That is very interesting. So do you want to address any of these allegations?
Dr. TATFirst off, let me say that both should be in bed, and I am very worried about that otherwise. But yes, I I believe we have a new name. I'm officially Little Tat is now Tiger Tat, which I kind of love. So I believe Tiger Tat's question, I'm paraphrasing, was why do my farts smell 10 times worse than anybody else's? Or was it volume or is it odor?
Stat BoyYeah, volume. It said like bigger. Bigger than.
Dr. TATWell, it's just a simple matter, Tommy, of of of anatomical size. You know, I'm probably you know 10 times bigger than Tommy. So I think that's part of it.
Stat BoySo you're not just versus him, it's versus like Dan and me and all our other listeners out there. I think we're gonna have to have a contest of a starting contest. Are you becoming how Howard's term where we can do that?
Dr. TATI mean, it it could it could devolve into that, but to answer Tiger Tat's question, it's I think it's a perspective thing and it's it's relative. Oh, okay. I hope he understands all that. And then I think Princess Tat was going through some sort of hysterical fit of of laughter, which was which is healthy. She was having such a good time, which was wonderful. But I believe right at the end, she asked why why Tiger Tat smokes me in basketball. Yeah, why does he? How often do you guys play basketball? Even the multi-purpose public pool, right? So at the multi-purpose public pool, we often play pool basketball. And he does, yeah. I mean, I'll be honest, Tiger Tat's pretty good at it. But even non-multipurpose public pool basketball, we play in our neighborhood. And I'll tell you, Tommy Tiger Tat does a really nice job of only traveling most of the time and then puts up some good shots. And we have three-point line and everything. So yeah, to answer both questions, I'm not only am I delighted to hear them, but I'm delighted to hear them just absolutely ridicule the host. That's exactly what this voicemail is all about. So I I love it.
Stat BoyThat is beautiful. That just opened the floodgates for more criticism for the rest of us here as well, right? Yeah. So if you'd like to criticize Panda Dan, please call. 234 set hike. Yeah. And that was really well organized. Ready? 234 set hike. There you go. If you'd like to correct an uncorrectable stat boy, 234 said hike.
Dr. TATYeah. If you want to talk about the volume of flatulence from one of the hosts, it is 234. 234 said hike. Set hike. Right. Set hike, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Stat BoyGood job.
Dr. TATThat was fantastic. Yeah, thanks. Thank you. Thanks, Tiger Tad. That's Princess Tad. Princess Tad, and then Unknown. I think that would might have been Lady Tad. We'll see. Yeah. Yeah, we gotta we gotta finale. Queen Tatter. Queen Tad. Beautiful. It was a fantastic. Yeah, fantastic. Brings a tear to my eye. Just one eye or both? Uh just one.
Stat BoyYeah.
Dr. TATRight. You only cry out of one eye. Typically, yeah. You should get that checked out. Sustain multiple injuries to my hip. Is the left class? Uh it's not class yet, but it's close. It's coming. Yeah, they could probably fix that. I I I knew I had an uncle who cried out of one eye, but then they just fixed the interview. Yeah, really? Was it a tear duct issue or what was going on? I don't know. I think it's like a quick little like they just do it. They have a tool. Panda Dan just showed like our screwdriver motion towards an eyeball. So you just screw it up. That fixes that. Oh, nice. Very good. Anything else in terms of fan mail?
Stat BoyI think that's Twitter ones and we went through our voicemail. So for this week, we're we're wrapped up on that front. So let's correct a few things. All right, correction time. All right. So we talked a bit about vehicles to start it off. You know, everyone loves a good vehicle chat. Talked about Chrysler. Yes, it is still in business. It does still exist. But its parent company, right, is known as Stellant. Chrysler. What? Stillantis. What the hell? Still heard that name. North American, yeah. It's it's by well, Stallantis. I guess there's multiple other countries, but it's the North American version that owes Chrysler. Jeep's parent company is also Stellantis. Yeah. Yeah. So it's not Jeep and Chrysler. So it's like Jeep and Jeep. It's the Shanahan tree. It's the Stellantis tree. Correct.
Dr. TATCorrect. Yep. So you're under the Stillantis tree. How do you feel about that? Yeah, I mean, hey, I support it. Yeah. You can't say no. I mean, that's what you don't have a choice.
Stat BoyYeah. We talked a little bit about the F named Focus and the F named Fusion for Ford. Well, actually, they got a bunch of other ones. So Sedans, they have ones for the 70s and 80s. The Fairmont is a mid-sized vehicle. The Falcon is one from the 1960s that was in Australia. Apparently it was legendary for some reason. The Ford Falcon. The Ford Falcon, yep. You had the Futura, which was a trim of the Falcon. It was basically a standalone model. They said this is the coolest trim ever. We're just going to make it its own vehicle for nice. Yeah. And then you obviously have the Ford model. F 150. Well, yes. You do all the truck version. So trucks, you'll have F1 series, and then for SUVs, you have the Flex, and then you also have the Freestyle, which was sold in the mid-2000s. So did anybody grow up driving in a freestyle minivan? No. Or not mid-sized crossover? Okay. Didn't think so. All right. Bounce into those very interesting Philly fang groups that were in the vet. Yeah. So we talked about the Wolfpack, the Platea, the Duck Pond, and the person's people. Well, apparently before that, in the 90s, there was one by for Kurt Schilling, which I wasn't aware of. Oh, what was it? The Shillometer.
Dr. TATYeah. When they put all the Ks, like for each strikeout.
Stat BoyAnd it was doing all the strikeouts. And then also, another literally, you know, I people probably know this, but when you do the strikeout, the the direction of the K matters. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yep. Depends if it's a looking strike or a swinging strikeout.
Dr. TATWhich one, which one is swinging and looking?
Stat BoyBackwards is looking. Yeah, I think backwards is looking. You never knew that? No, yeah. Yeah, yeah, there you go. Some other ones. The Bird Cage for Marlon Bird. Remember that? Oh, nice. Marlon Bird.
Dr. TATSal's pal. Sal Fasana. Yeah. Oh, Sal's pal.
Stat BoyThen you have Placitos Amigos. Yep.
Dr. TATThey used to hang out with the Flotillas.
Stat BoyHomies Homies? Oh, that's another great one. Oh man, this is an all-time Philly. Dahl. Omar Dahl had the Dahl House. Do you remember Omer Dahl? I do not remember Dolly. Oh man, how do you not remember? Omar Dahl was traded in the 2000s to from the Arizona Diamondbacks. Diamondbacks. This is the year we traded. D-A-A-L. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, Dahl. This is when the Phillies traded Shilling to the Diamondbacks. Then he ended up winning World Series. That's how he wanted.
Dr. TATBut then Johnson.
Stat BoyBut we got Omar Dahl and Vicente Padilla in that deal. Plus uh Nelson Figueroa and everybody. Thank you. So yeah, just a little memory lane there.
Dr. TATI think the one that I enjoyed the most truly was the Wolfpack because he had like a dance they used to do. Yeah. And they were always had the Wolf faces. I feel like they truly did help him play better. I think he did play better with the Wolfpack.
Stat BoyOh, yeah. Oh, and one I want to interject here one. It's not a stat correction or anything, but I would I would I'm a huge fan of another baseball league known as the Semana Bananas. Heck yeah. Such a great league, right? They just go around, they tour summer. It's a fantastic business. I really do appreciate it. They just go nuts. It's like the Harlem Globetrotters for baseball. I think you've been to a game. I have, right? In Tiger Town. I don't know. I panned it in and you never have. No. You guys have to. I want to go in. Fantastic.
Dr. TATWell, they like they sell out ballparks, right?
Stat BoyLike they're sold out. They do a great business.
Dr. TATThey sold out the bank two days in a row.
Stat BoyYeah, they're they're phenomenal. And they go around. There's a lot of teams now in their league. And part of the whole you know, peel appeal of it, get it, banana appeal, is that they do trick plays throughout the game and they get like points and stuff. And I think their trick plays actually count towards like tiebreakers for things. So interesting way of playing baseball, whatever. But this guy on their team for the bananas known as Rack. He was a former MLB player for the Nationals. His name is Robert Anthony Cruz, if you want to get into it. He's a pretty decent personality. He's got some swagger. He usually does like a back flip, like a front front. And then catches the ball. Well, he actually landed it the first time never, a trick called the Iron Lotus recently. Basically, like a it's like a it's like a flip with a twist, and he's catching the ball like backhanded. It's insane. I would check it out. It's awesome. Check out the bananas. And next year, if they come back to Philly, I don't know. Everything's already out of here.
Dr. TATShout out Princess Potassi. Oh, god. Yeah, there's a whole crew. Like, and and the main guy is in like a bright yellow suit. It's fantastic.
Stat BoyAnd it's like quick, you know, it doesn't, it's not gonna be lasting all day. It's something that really has like kind of like baseball. They want to go faster and they want to have people enjoy just kind of some really interesting baseball.
Dr. TATYeah. So yeah, let me conclude this 33rd episode of the Seth podcast by saying, what a time to be alive. We are, if you think of the sports season as a roller coaster, we have reached the zenith of the first part of the ride. Like we're right at the top. We've pulled ourselves up from the doldrums of the summer, from a non-existent and non-important, very depressing World Cup loss to, you know, the very disappointing Mikhail Lemon hamstring injury. Now we're at the top. We've got Darius Cooper and Willie Lampkin right next to us in the in in our roller coaster, and we're about to take the ride. I am so very excited about the prospects of this summer and enjoying the end of our summer, but also getting ready for arguably the best season of the year, the fall. Panda. The fall. Yeah, I mean, I think that's part of why we started this podcast to to to be able to be together and with our listeners and enter this extremely exciting time of fall football with our friends and family and football.
