Set Hike!
Let Slay Eat Cake
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
The 35th inaugural episode becomes a full-blown Slay Day as Slayer celebrates her actual August 27 birthday in studio, where a normal birthday interview immediately mutates into LeBron fan anthropology, quiet-car jurisprudence, and a hard-line debate over wearing the wrong Philadelphia jersey to the wrong Philadelphia sporting event. From there, the crew discovers Willie Lampkin may be a lost citizen of Oz, debates whether Dr. TAT is legally permitted to boo his own Bengals-loving child, turns Joe Burrow into Macaulay Culkin, and spends an irresponsible amount on craps mechanics, upside-down puzzles, and tactical sandwich concealment from increasingly militant Jersey Shore seagulls. Slayer then delivers what is immediately declared the greatest duck joke in podcast history before revealing the secret economy of Wrangler ducking, hidden Jeep symbols, and why Panda Dan has apparently been waving at people who were never obligated to wave back. Stat Boy attempts to restore sports by introducing the Phillies’ “lame duck” manager situation, only for the episode to unveil an alternate Set Hike! Red October fanfest coined "Set Strike!", react to an IHOP-based Spanish cycling correspondent, and then host a live intervention over Panda Dan’s Minute Maid intake. Finally, Slayer brings everyone cookies, Dr. TAT eats the cookie she actually wanted, the room performs a duck-infested “Happy Birthday" and the Corrections department delivers the ultimate birthday gift: Slayer missed sharing August 28 with Shania Twain and Marv from Home Alone by roughly eleven minutes. Let Slay eat cake? Sure. Just apparently not her own cookie.

Welcome everyone to the 35th inaugural episode of the Stat Hike podcast. I'm your host, Dr. Tat, and with me, as always, Panda Den, Stat Boy. Slayer. Slayer. Welcome. It's a Slayer special. And that's that's not your normal kazoo, folks. That is the celebratory. I mean, that thing looks like it is, you know, this is an audio format, but it looks like the fanatics, you know, feathers on kazoo form. It's a birthday kazoo. It's a birth whose birthday is? I don't know. Whose birthday is it? Slayer's birthday. Slayer's birthday. It is the actual day of your birthday.
SPEAKER_01827. I'm not saying that you're it's an absolute honor.
Dr. TAT827. So Slayer, do you know what time of day you were born?
SPEAKER_0111 49 p.m. or somewhere around that. Wow.
Dr. TATSo you were like just you were like 10 minutes away from being a different day.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's true. Wow.
Dr. TATYeah. Do you know any famous celebrities? We don't talk about celebrities on the podcast, but any celebrities who share your date, date of birth.
SPEAKER_01So I I think it's I'm pretty sure Pee-Wee Herman.
Dr. TATI was I was not expecting that.
SPEAKER_01It's kind of embarrassing.
Dr. TATYeah. We'll have to look up other ones.
SPEAKER_01I'm not positive. There's a good chance It's either my birthday or someone else close by.
Dr. TATAnd and there's about let's say what, seven billion people on planet Earth currently. So there's probably a few more people who were born on August 27th. Like Aaron Paul of Breaking Bad.
SPEAKER_01That's kind of nice. I've never seen Breaking Bad, so I don't really have an attachment to him.
Stat BoyOkay. That's right.
SPEAKER_01You would like a I I think Oh, him.
Stat BoyYeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
Stat BoyMace.
SPEAKER_01I did know that. Mace's the rapper. Welcome back.
Dr. TATWelcome back to what?
SPEAKER_01The song.
Dr. TATOh. Welcome back. To the 35th episode of The Pod. Yeah. Welcome back, Mace.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
Dr. TATIs that sure for Mason or?
SPEAKER_01Just M-A-S-E.
Dr. TATM-A-S-E.
SPEAKER_01Famous rapper from the 90s.
Dr. TATOh, okay.
SPEAKER_01Early 2000s. How about Was I right with Peach I? Pee-We.
Dr. TATProbably. You might have to scroll down on the list for Pee-Wee Herman. What's your zodiac sign?
SPEAKER_01I'm a Virgo.
Dr. TATVirgo. Virgo. Excellent. You are about as far away from a February birthday as possible, but we still love the Virginia.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's six months went.
Dr. TATBecause we had our half birthdays this month. We did. Yeah. I mean, no one celebrated my half birthday. That was tough. Slip through the crap. What would you say like your best birthday party, like the venue? We'll say the venue. What was your favorite? If you know, just looking back.
SPEAKER_01Oh, my 30th.
unknownYeah.
Dr. TATI thought you might say that. Yeah. That was awesome. You were 30th? I you're I I can't even imagine 30. That's not the number. I know. Yeah. That's just the same day. I still remember because I went to that and then there was correct me if I'm wrong. No, it was the n the day of McRager versus Mayweather boxing flight. That's right. I remember I watched Rat in the city. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01It was like the best day ever because we we went to a yellow school bus from Fairmount to Cuddy's and then back.
Dr. TATAnd then you had the awesome like save the date things for that, right? I do remember that. That was good. Yeah, that was uh shout out to Mrs. Tet.
SPEAKER_01She bossed me around. Go sit over there.
Dr. TATYeah, that's right. That was awesome.
SPEAKER_01Take your picture gear.
Dr. TATI'm familiar with the with the toot. It's it's fantastic. You can't have a better party planner than Mrs. Tat. Although I will arguably now, Slay is in, there's a select few, and I I'm not going to name anybody because it actually the other ones are sworn to secrecy, but I have like a once-a-decade party planning team for Mrs. Tat, and Slay is on the is is part of the board of directors.
SPEAKER_05Oh yeah.
Dr. TATYeah. Oh, sweet. Yeah. So whenever the next 10 years comes, you know, we'll we'll do it. It's coming up, actually. I remember Mrs. Tat. This is a random birthday memory, too. Mrs. Tat had a birthday at the Mexican place in Fairmount. Do you remember that? That was my birthday. That was your birthday. But but she planned it. So there was a karaoke party. So I tried to go there like this past week and it it closed. That place is closed. Yeah, just that fight.
SPEAKER_01Wasn't that La Calaca? Yeah.
Dr. TATYeah, they closed, I think, after 15 years. Which is Spanish. It was a great place in Spanish Fairmount. The Kalakalaka happy. Which was great. Because what happened there, and just a brief the there are two major things I would like to bring up from that per birthday party. Number one, Staff Boy decided to sing his warranted. He has a very specific song that he likes to sing in karaoke. It's by a one Marilyn Manson. It's called The Beautiful People. And for those who heard it. Yeah, it's a beautiful song. It's a beautiful song, and and he sings it so very well. Yes, I do. I've been it's another hint and talent of my karaoke.
SPEAKER_01The the second song Is this on film somewhere?
Dr. TATNo. I don't think so. This it well I turned 30 a couple decades ago. I don't even think there were smartphones. So but the other part was like that a rogue person came to because you know, we th there people could come in and out and matriculate through the bar, but a rogue person, just some random dude, got up, grabbed the mic, sang White Houses by Vanessa Carlton, and then left the bar and just absolutely took the house down. So that was in on Passion Gov, right? Passiel Gav. Adobe Adobe Karaoke. Yeah. Moriarty or not Moriarty, who Dr. Green and I sang Van Halen Why Can Why Can't This Be Love? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It was a really special time. Yeah. Yeah. It was a good night. Good job. You were part of that committee, yeah, Slayer? I guess. Or no, you were part of Mrs. Tat's uh part of the side. Well, yeah, she and she continues to be. She's on the board of directors. Yeah. There's there's a number of folks. Some of them every once in a while listen to this podcast. Shout out. Yeah. So how you been, Slayer? Yeah. I mean good.
SPEAKER_01Busy, lame summer, you know.
Dr. TATHow was your sports summer? Like how did you feel about sports this summer? World Cup. Then you get into that. Oh yeah, when's the World Cup started?
SPEAKER_01I mean I had to because of work, but I wasn't like married to any team. It was great for meeting because anytime they played in New York, I didn't have to go to your because they just shut the city down or something? Make no drains in and out of Penn Station for four hours before the game.
Dr. TATOh, because they they were charging like a thousand dollars a year.
SPEAKER_01Well that and the which they were only going to to Secaucus, I guess.
Dr. TATOh, okay.
SPEAKER_01Now do you say Secaucus or Seacaucus?
Dr. TATI say Secaucus. I say Secaucus. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Is that well, I say Secaucus, but some of the train conductors that are like next stop, Seacaucus.
Dr. TATSeacaucus?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
Dr. TATAre they are they from New York, you think?
SPEAKER_01I don't know where they're from. They just pick me up in Trenton and drop me off.
Dr. TATNow I I I would love to ask because you're such a frequent train goer. And and we actually haven't been able to break this down yet. How how often have you seen LeBron James and the process of going back and forth? Are you guys planning on kind of coordinating your rides?
SPEAKER_01I if he could pay for my rides, that would be great.
Dr. TATI think you should probably you know I'm trying to think if you could coordinate helicopter rides. He takes MC's helicopter. Yeah. Yeah. What do you think? Would you ride a helic in a helicopter? So even if LeBron James came up to you, Slay and said I'm LeBron James. Would you like a ride in a helicopter? No. You're afraid of helicopters?
SPEAKER_01Just doesn't interest me.
Dr. TATDoesn't interest you? Okay. Do you have a fear of heights?
SPEAKER_01No.
Dr. TATOkay. Are you a LeBron fan?
SPEAKER_00Sure.
Dr. TATYou're you're just as excited as Panda about this. Hey, sounds like same Waveland. Yeah. Yeah. Panda's actually quite upset secretly that LeBron James joined. No, nothing.
SPEAKER_01Is it raining on the parade of like?
Dr. TATI mean, I was ex I mean, no, I mean I I welcomed him. You know, I I think it's great for the city, but but yeah, I'm I'm excited for like the rest of the team. Yeah, like Jalen Brown and the growth of VJ Edgecombe and and I mean I'm a Joel on the B and loyalist, you know.
SPEAKER_01I don't disagree.
Dr. TATUm but yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I always feel bad now that they're putting all but they're putting his jersey everywhere. Feel bad for our players that have been there.
Dr. TATYeah. So you feel like much like Panda that they're suffocating, like don't think suffocating at all.
SPEAKER_01No. I just think it's like a I agree with the end.
Dr. TATIt's kind of more like the spotlights on LeBron than the Sixers a little bit.
SPEAKER_01Right.
Dr. TATOkay. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Because then that brings the LeBron fans.
Dr. TATYeah.
SPEAKER_01We're not that that fan base that like just likes the player, but like doesn't care about what team. Like that will forever boggle my mind.
Dr. TATThat's a fair point. I never thought of it that way.
SPEAKER_01He has fans that are LeBron fans and like basketball fans, I guess. But like I feel like people younger kids now like the players.
Dr. TATNow let's say you go to a Sixers game this year. You you plan on still supporting the Sixers.
SPEAKER_01If I can get a ticket, I'm gonna need a third job.
Dr. TATWell, that's the question, Slay. Like when we get if let's say you let's say by the grace of God, Dan gives you one of his eight season tickets and you're able to go, are you gonna be able to tease out the LeBron fan from the Sixers fan? Is it is there a certain look or smell or how how do we tease how do we tease this out, guys?
SPEAKER_01I'm going age.
Dr. TATYou're going age.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
Dr. TATSo so the old, angry Italian men. Yeah, they've and Irish dudes and and whomever. I I want to be egalitarian with our toxic Philly fans, right? I I am one of them.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
Dr. TATSo you you could tell I'm not like a LeBron. So if it's like someone who's on TikTok. 15 and 22.
SPEAKER_01Or maybe like 27.
Dr. TAT27.
SPEAKER_01Like the iPad kids are definitely plenty of like favorite.
Dr. TATThose people and Brian Winhorst, right? Like if Brian Winher Winhorst is him, he's definitely he's a LeBron guy. Yeah. He's always been. Yeah.
unknownYeah.
Dr. TATSo I the one re you know, we got off on a LeBron tangent. I apologize. But I wanted to talk about your commute. What's your like how do you take the train? Are you like, do you talk to anybody? Do you ask?
SPEAKER_01No, no, I go right to the quiet car.
Dr. TATHow is the quiet car?
SPEAKER_01Sometimes not quiet.
Dr. TATAnd and do people, is there like some sort of jurisdiction? Who's in charge of keeping the quiet car quiet? Do you do you ever yell? No.
SPEAKER_01No, because the person who does that or says, this is the quiet car is just as bad as the person that's talking.
Dr. TATOh, that's a fair point.
SPEAKER_01But sometimes the conductor, when he's coming down the to get everyone's ticket, he'll say something.
Dr. TATSo you're in the quiet car, AirPods on or off? Do you have to?
SPEAKER_01I have to do over the head because I have my ear pierced, like my trachus, so I can't put AirPods in. Okay. All right.
Dr. TATSo the big headphones? Yeah. So you go big headphones, you have men, and what are we listening to? Set hike?
SPEAKER_01Recently I've been listening to a little mix of uh actually.
Dr. TATAfter she's all caught up on set hike, yeah. Yes, in the car, too. Right. So you finish your set hike.
SPEAKER_01I've been listening to Rufus DeSol because I'm going to see them this weekend.
Dr. TATAnd where is that? Just to Atlantic City Beach. Oh, wow. AC folks. Wow, that's awesome. Say happy birthday to Slay when you see her on the beach in AC.
SPEAKER_01And a little bit of like morning meditation to like wake up because I also read on the train. I'm on my 14th book of the year. Wow. Which I don't feel like is a lot because my goal was 31 and we're going to be able to do that. I feel like you're striking distance. I know.
Dr. TATWell, maybe not actually. I'm still I'm not. I'm actually mine it was that a New Year's resolution or just your Yes.
SPEAKER_01You can on Goodreads you can set like a challenge. You can join the challenge and see how many books you want.
Dr. TAT14's pretty good though. I bet that's 13 more than most people. That's true. You know, during the outside. That's about two a month.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
Dr. TATSo when you're reading the book, do you listen to you you said meditation like calming music or like something like wake me up. Yeah, yeah. Like Enya or you know Sarah McLaughlin or something. Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_01Beautiful.
Dr. TATYeah. Yeah. That's awesome. Now I've yet I've uh now my New Year's resolution was to watch I I don't even know how many Tay Diggs movies, but I've done zero so far. But I'm on my getting there. I'm pretty close. I've I definitely Googled Tay Diggs this month.
SPEAKER_01Great actor.
Dr. TATYeah. Have you seen any Tay Diggs films?
SPEAKER_01I don't have a film off the top of my head, but I think I did tell you guys this. He is in a show called Murder in the First.
Dr. TATOh yeah.
SPEAKER_01It was a really good show.
Dr. TATIt's a good show?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
Dr. TATNice.
SPEAKER_01I think you can assume by the title what the genre is.
Dr. TATIt sounds to me like a musical of some sort. Yeah, I I remember we talked about it before. I I can't say I watched it, but but yeah, we'll have to check it out. That's cool. So boring summer, but you didn't have to take the train during World Cup.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
Dr. TATHow how's the rest of the summer been, just you know, generally? Phillies games, any Philly games?
SPEAKER_01I've been to two or three Phillies games. Oh, went last week. They won. Yeah, I know. I've been watching them when I come home from work and just make sure everybody's on their toes. Because I gotta make sure I gotta cancel all my plans for October.
Dr. TATOh, I think October Red October, right? Yeah. So okay.
SPEAKER_01Like, don't try to hang out with me in October. We're not going anywhere.
Dr. TATSo are you gonna be upset if like there's LeBron fans at the Red October stuff?
SPEAKER_01Yes, this brings into another scenario. I don't like when people wear like Eagles jerseys to Phillies games, or vice versa.
Stat BoyYeah. Where do we stand on that? That's tough. Because October there's a lot going on.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but that's that's different.
Stat BoyOkay. So that's different.
SPEAKER_01But like in the summer, I don't I mean, I have an Eagles tattoo. I don't care if you're wearing an Eagles jersey to the Phillies game.
Stat BoyWait, what did you say? You have a what? I said she has an Eagles tattoo.
SPEAKER_01I get the allegiance to Eagles.
SPEAKER_03That's cool.
SPEAKER_01But uh but you don't need to wear your Eagles jersey at a Phillies game in the middle somewhere.
Dr. TATYeah. How do you how do you feel about the Eagles chant at a hard note? You're uh the PGA championship they were doing the Eagles. They were, that was fine. But they were they were trolling what's his name? The guy who attacked that guard in the parking lot? Chef were he's a Cowboys fan. He's a criminal and a Cowboys fan. So they were trolling him. I thought that's appropriate. That's right.
Stat BoySo what about the actual like clothing itself? So like in hockey, you're wearing a sweater. So wearing a hockey sweater in the summer, not great, right? But an Eagles jersey, they're like there's holes inside of that. It was like breathable. Oh, you're wearing it that feels comfortable.
Dr. TATYou're wearing a sweater in the rink and it's icy at the rink, so it's you're gonna be warm. Yeah.
Stat BoyBut when we're talking about wearing a jersey in another stadium, oh I see what you're doing, right?
Dr. TATSo like Yeah, you don't see the Flyers jersey like Eagles.
Stat BoyBut I I agree with Slayer. Like, yeah, it's just not it's just weird to wear an Eagles jersey. Are you saying it's like a sports fashion faux pas?
SPEAKER_01I yeah. Yeah. It's like you're not at that game.
Dr. TATYeah.
SPEAKER_01You're here.
Dr. TATRight.
SPEAKER_01I on the third baseline.
Dr. TATYou know, it's taken I've I know I've known Slay for a many, many years, and uh it is a joy to have known Slay. And I think one of the things that made us friends was watching her just pure just passion for the Sixers back in 01.
SPEAKER_01I still think we're gonna listen to this podcast and be like, this is the same episode. Yeah. Yeah, we did talk about it.
Dr. TATI'm not delving into that, but my point is I didn't realize you are a sports purist. You you like a pure, you don't want the bandwagon, you don't want the wrist raft.
SPEAKER_01I don't care about the bandwagon. You could be a fan whenever, but like if you're only a LeBron James fan, then that's like so uh n now here's my question.
Dr. TATAre are we do we like are we disliking LeBron James specifically or people who just follow like so like Tebow fans you don't care for? Like if someone becomes hops like when the when Tim Tebow was an Eagle, you weren't happy when like Florida fans came and were like, go Eagles.
Stat BoyOr more Catholics. Catholic.
Dr. TATWell boy, we're not touching that with a 40-foot pole, sir. Stat boy, what religion do you have? You're you're a binary, right? A binary an Italiana, you know? You're a binary zeros and ones, right? Yeah, binary, yeah. Life is just a series of zeros and ones.
Stat BoyYeah. You can build build cities on zeros and ones.
Dr. TATSo let's get your take on the upcoming season for the Eagles, right? I'm not gonna wear my Phillies jersey at the Eagles game, I promise. I won't do my Phillies chant. Thank you. Okay. But how do you feel about the birds this year?
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna be honest, I haven't really done much following of training camp. I just I just saw that they played Jolene at the practice just this week.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
Dr. TATYes.
SPEAKER_01Makai Lemon is back in it.
Dr. TATYes, he is. Yeah, now what what's your take on on Mr. Lemon?
SPEAKER_01Again, uh I came ill-prepared to talk to speak about my upcoming.
Dr. TATDo you do you like the season? Do you like lemons? The the fruit. Is it a fruit? It's a citrus. Yes. Come on.
SPEAKER_01Yes, I can't eat lemons because I have a it's bad for your teeth, the acidity, so I can't eat lemons anymore.
Dr. TATOkay.
SPEAKER_01But I used to.
Dr. TATYou used to like bite into a lemon. Did you eat the lemon?
SPEAKER_01Uh no, like in in your cup of water or like tea.
Dr. TATNow, how about a nice diet coke? What you get the slice of lemon in there just for a little, you know, a little flavor?
SPEAKER_01Maybe back in the day.
Dr. TATOkay, so you're you're off a lemon, it sounds like. Wow. No LeBron, no lemons. Okay. Mackay lemons.
SPEAKER_01You like Mackay.
Dr. TATYou like Mackay. So, all right, we got the lemons. Is there any other fruit-based players on our team? Probably not, right?
unknownNo.
Dr. TATI don't think so. We we talk about Jermaine Mayberry, we used to have Bradbury. Bradbury. We've had Rayburn, but we realize he's not. Remember Sam Rayburn? Sam Rayburn. We just like that he was a truck driver. Yeah. I don't think Rayburn's a fruit, but uh there's eight apple. Wasn't there an apple G Ly Apple? Yeah. Yeah. But yeah. I do like down the shore, they whenever you order an iced tea. Well, I was there this past or a few times this month, I think. Avon. It was really nice. And Gusto Harbor, Avon. Yeah, beautiful. He's he's a wealthy, he's the wealthiest member of the podcast by far. No, I went there. My grandmom used to rent. I always tell people this. Like, my grandmom used to rent an Avalon, my Irish grandmother, and she so like I went there before it became like real bougie just at Fine. So okay it became bougie once I started going there, and you know, but damn whatever makes whatever lets you sleep at night, Dan. But it it is a special place. It's a great, great town, you know, great beach. Oh, really every town between Cape May and Atlantic City. Yeah. Or really, I guess, Brigant is Brigantine north of Atlantic City town? It's just north of AC, yeah. Oh, it is? Oh, yeah. Yeah. So technically we'll say Brigantine to Cape May. Thank you for humoring my shore. I mean, every town has something to offer, you know? So great. So finish your story though. You're inside. The great thing is you're getting your ice tea. You roll into these nice coffee shops there. There's all like the shore basically is like all pizza places, ice cream shops, bars, and coffee shops. Yeah. I would agree. So and then like now they're doing like smoothie type places too, a lot of that. But every time you order an iced tea, it's always like a nice everyone's in a good mood, and they always follow it up with saying, Oh, would you like a lemon in your iced tea? And I always say, Yeah, that'd be great. And you know, it's awesome. Yeah. But like then you then I come here to like somewhere, like a coffee shop in Delco, and they're just like, they don't they don't offer the lemon. And so will you ask for it? Sometimes I'll say it, oh by any chance, do you have a lemon you could put in there? And then they say no. Is that how you ask? You're like, uh sir, by is there by any chance, could you spare a slice of golden citrus? And they're like, nope, we don't do that. You know?
Stat BoyReally? Well, you know, like in in your international travels, you know, like when you go places, they don't just offer you water, you have to pay for it, right? So it's kind of similar here. They're pulling away ice.
SPEAKER_01You gotta like search high and low.
Stat BoyYou can't get ice abroad.
Dr. TATI they they're anti-ice. Yeah.
Stat BoyIt's crazy. So we're like kind of going towards that international model where we're pulling the lemon away from everybody for free.
SPEAKER_01I think bad for your teeth.
Dr. TATYeah. Slay's Slay's got it. Bad for your teeth. Yeah. So we've got Mikhail Lemon. We've got how about the the tight end? There's a tight end that we have. His name is. Yeah, we gotta talk about the tight end situation because let's do it. So Mikhail Lemon was the first round pick, and Slayer, I'm happy you're I'm happy you're here because we can you know like you'll be more excited about the Eagles, I think, after talking yeah, talking it through. Which is cool. The second round pick is Stowers, right? Eli Stowers. And he's kind of been like a huge disappointment so far. Like he's an ex quarterback, the term tight end. And is athletic. Yeah. But he's like I don't think he's had one session with the first team yet. Variety of injuries, but also just like not being up to speed. So but but he's still young and he'll probably develop and stuff. But but that's kind of a not a good story about the training camp so far. But then like, yeah, I mean we could get Markel Bell is like a huge bright spot. Yeah, let's wrap it up with the third round pick, Markel Bell. Are you familiar with he's the new right tackle? He's like a backdrop. Yeah. He's like 6'10. He's the tallest guy in the alignment room. So he's taller than Mayelada. Really? Yeah, yeah. Isn't that crazy? He went to Miami. There's uh you know, if you get a chance, you gotta watch some of the preseason plays. He's next to Willie Lampkin. Have you ever heard about Willie Like? Willie Lampkin. Oh, I folks.
SPEAKER_01I get all my news from the card.
Dr. TATFolks. Slay just lit up like uh like one of the candles on her birthday cake, folks. I mean, she just smiled and it just melted my heart. What do you feel about how do you like a Willy Lampkin?
SPEAKER_01Uh you know, it has a nice ring to it.
Dr. TATDoesn't it? It sounds like a short person's name, too, right? Lampkin. Hey, there's a Lampkin coming by, you know?
SPEAKER_01It's kind of like Willy Wonka vibe.
Dr. TATIt's Willy Wonka, right? You know, I think there was a character called uh like the Lampkins. Like there's the Munchkins, there was you're gonna have to go through there's four races of people in The Wizard of Oz, and you should look them up. But there's the munchkins, like everyone talks about munchkins, but there's a bunch of other like smaller peoples, and I think Lampkin was one of them. Really? Now are you a Wizard of Oz guy? Not a whole lot. Yeah. Are you familiar with the lore? Yeah, yeah. Like Scarecrow and Scarecrow Tin Man. Yep, Tin Man. Who else? What was the name of the little dog that she had? So Dorothy's the girl. Uh Dorothy's the girl. Toto. They have a yellow brick road. Yeah. And then I and then Wicked is like a variation of what's it about, right? I'm not familiar with that. About the good witch, I think. Yeah. Yeah, that's about that's about the bad witch. Alphaba and all that. Alphaba. Yeah. Oh, Alphaba. Yeah. Yeah. That's right. No, but did you get the there are Yeah, yeah.
Stat BoySo they're from different regions, right? Yeah. They're in different areas of the east. Okay. Right. The Winkies are from the west. The Winkies. You got the Gillicans from the North. Yeah. And then you got the quadrins, quadlings from the South.
Dr. TATSo I think I think Willie Lampkin comes from the Gillikans, actually. I think they're I think it's a small author. So he's from the North. Yeah. So he's a North guy. North guy. Yeah. He's fantastic. I mean, he's like Mighty Mouse. And so you've got you've got Willie Lampkin, he's five foot ten, you know, wearing shoes. And then you've got Markel Bell is 6'10, 6'9. Barefoot. And should uh shoeed 6'9. And they're blocking together. So you've, I mean, could you imagine? It's like it's like taking on like one of those musical notes, you know, like a clef, right? You got the one small part and then the giant line there, and they're just coming to block you. And they've been playing well. Yeah. Yeah. I'm optimistic. I think this year we're going to win the Super Bowl. Yeah. God damn, shut up. How do you guys feel about that? That stresses me out, Jim. I think I think we're gonna I think we're gonna win three championships this year. Two and a half is my over-under. Yeah. Phillies, Eagles, Sixers in that order. Maybe Flyers. We'll see. I don't think the Flyers are gonna win. They just sold out the at Carl's Cards, they sold out the damn Vladar event. That's good. Yeah, Danny's. That was a great.
Stat BoyAnd they also had a really cool hockey pup they made. Did you see that? The Darth Vladar? And they made it. Yeah. That's really cool. Star Wars themed.
Dr. TATStar Wars themed? Yeah. Good. So yeah. So what tight end were you talking about, Dr. Actually? Johnny Munt? Yeah, I wanted to talk about Johnny Munt because he's like now our fullback. So like basically, Johnny Munt's gonna do everything for this offense. Like they have him like he might be the number two. I think he might be the backup quarterback for us. I mean, he's doing everything in this offense. Let me ask you a question. Would you rather relate it? Yeah. I'd be happy to. Johnny Munt's there. Who would you rather make the final 53? Cameron Latour or Carson Steele? Carson Steele. Just purely off of that play. Yeah, yeah. That was fantastic. Yeah. Yeah. I feel like that's sort of like a battle, you know. Like we'll see. Yeah. But yeah. So tomorrow night is going. Yeah. Well, we don't we usually don't disclose what day it is, but I think with Slave's birthday, everyone knows that today is August 27th. Year of our life. Yep. Happy birthday. And tomorrow is the last. It's kind of weird, right? The preseason has kind of changed. There's only three games, and then there's like kind of this beginning of the season bye week. But yeah, tomorrow it's Eagles. It's the only home preseason game for the Birds. And Little Tat and I are going to go.
SPEAKER_01That'll be so fun.
Dr. TATLittle Tat Tiger Tat.
unknownTiger.
Dr. TATOh, excuse me. Sorry. Sorry, Tiger Tat. Tiger Tat is. Well, actually, that's a Bengals. Yeah, I was about to say it's pretty APA Pro because he's a Bengals fan.
SPEAKER_01Good for him.
Dr. TATNow I have to ask you, Slate.
SPEAKER_01So am I. You've I but you know what?
Dr. TATI'm a Joe Burrow fan, so maybe I'll try to get his autograph for you. Now, here's a question for you, Sly. Tiger Tat, if he wants to wear his Jamar Chase jersey, you can do that because he's a fan of the team. He's a fan of the team. It's preseason and it's AFC NFC.
SPEAKER_01What are you wearing is the question.
Dr. TATWell, I'm going to wear the Eagles jersey. I'm wearing my Flyers art, is what I'm wearing. You should wear a Willie Lamp jersey. I'm going to wear a LeBron jersey. I'm going to wear a LeBron James Flyers jersey. There you go. Is what I'm going to wear.
SPEAKER_01Just sending all the bad vibes.
Dr. TATSo but you're okay with Tiger Tag. Yeah, of course. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
Dr. TATI think kids okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but even if he wasn't like, don't we have we have Turtle who's a Giants fan? Like, that's okay.
Stat BoyWell, we tolerate that. That's definitely. He's an adult. Yeah. I feel like the children they're allowed to, you know, do what's fun for them. Am I allowed to boo my own son? If he's doing it in the regular season, that's a different story. That's bad. That's bad parenting.
Dr. TATIf he celebrates a good play by the Bengals, can I boo my own son next to me?
Stat BoyIn the in the in the preseason, no.
Dr. TATBut in the regular season, absolutely. Okay. So it's it's a boo-free zone in preseason.
Stat BoyYeah, it doesn't matter.
Dr. TATOkay. So it's basically do whatever you want in the preseason. Sure. So I could just dress up however I want. Yeah. I I'll allow it. I could dress up like Dolly Parton if I wanted to. I'll allow it. You will? Yeah. Actually, I would hope that happens. Yeah, that would be tough. That would be tough. Okay. Well, you know, I think so so you like Joe Burrow. Yes. And and do you like did you like him during like the LSU era too? Or did you kind of pick up when he became like the because he's got a fashion side to him. He does. Do you follow his fashion style?
SPEAKER_01I have he's not on my background right now.
Dr. TATOh, okay.
SPEAKER_01Who is that's Niall Warren?
Dr. TATWho's that?
SPEAKER_01He was on one direction.
Dr. TATOh, okay. Which direction? He died, bro.
SPEAKER_01He didn't die. That was a big one.
Dr. TATThat was another one?
SPEAKER_01Don't get me emotional.
Dr. TATSorry. But you have so right now, Slay, I'm gonna do play by play. Slay, he she swiped three times, and now I'm looking at a picture of Joe Burrow in like some nice velvet.
SPEAKER_01Silk. Not velvet. Is that velvet or silk? Silk.
Dr. TATWhat is this?
SPEAKER_01Silk, like two-piece set.
Dr. TATWow, his hair looks great.
SPEAKER_01Great hair.
Dr. TATYeah.
SPEAKER_01That's that.
Dr. TATNow, if I were to say that Joe Burrow Joe Burrow gives off Macaulay Colkin vibes, what would you say?
SPEAKER_01Jim.
Dr. TATI mean, he kind of does, right?
SPEAKER_01Oh, you just almost ruined it.
Dr. TATThere you go. Yeah, I think that one. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01In that one. That was when he was injured.
Dr. TATThat's a nice smile. Didn't his house get like robbed or something? Yeah, yeah. He recovered from the well, he was home alone. There were a bunch of robbers that came. He was bandits. They were called the wet bandits. And he had a bunch of he had a bunch of traps for them. And he he got to a point where he just had to call his security. Yeah. And there was this really nice scary neighbor with a shovel that saved the day. Yeah. Oh, that's yeah. And now wasn't he like friends? Slayer, you wouldn't know this. He was like friends with Jessica Alba, but not dating her or something. Is that true? Or did I just make it? No. I don't think that any of that's true. I think I'm thinking of someone else. There was someone that was like hanging out with Jessica Alba, and then they were like, oh, are they dating? And then they were they were just like, no.
SPEAKER_01She was at the she was in the Bad Bunny halftime show. Is that what are you talking about?
Dr. TATOh, that's right. Yeah. So was um so was the guy from The Mangalore.
SPEAKER_01That's it. Pedro Pascal.
Dr. TATThat was cool. Wait, wasn't Ricky Martin too? Yeah. I think there was a LeBron James fan in there, but they got rid of him pretty quickly. Yeah. Now that would have been a fun thing to be an extra in because it was literally like a cornfield. Do you remember that? Oh, yeah. I watched it. Did you watch you watched that? I watched it here. How did you feel about it? I thought it was good. I loved the Super Bowl halftime shows. Like pretty much all of them. All of them? Yeah. Really? Yeah, I think the best one was the one with like Snoop Dogg and LA. Yeah, that was that was really cool.
SPEAKER_01I loved Rihanna.
Dr. TATRihanna was very good. Rihanna was good. When the Eagles lost. Yeah. But credit to her. She was like very pregnant. We loved Rihanna. We're a pro Rihanna podcast. We are a pro Rihanna podcast. Yeah. Yeah, there were a bunch. The The Weekend did it the one year. I thought it was a good one. That was pretty cool.
Panda DanIt was a little like the weekend.
Dr. TATThat was a little like claustrophobic because it was like the camera was following him inside this weird tube thing.
SPEAKER_01And they were all wearing like I feel like all his dancers were wearing the same out like outfit.
Dr. TATYeah, that's true. Yeah. And then when we won, it was the Kendrick Lamar one, which I thought that was really good. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I didn't know about the beef that he had with what's his name?
Dr. TATDrake?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
Dr. TATOh yeah, yeah. What was the season that was in the achievements also? The Eagles' first Super Bowl, was that JT? Justin Timberwolves? Yeah. Yeah. Well, yeah, they the one they won in 2017. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's right, right? Yeah. Okay. I don't know, 2004 or 2000. I think it was. Because we were at your house in South Philly and I remember we were watching JT.
SPEAKER_01I don't remember that.
Dr. TATI don't remember specifically. I know I know it was Timber League, but I can't I couldn't tell you what he did during the T C.
SPEAKER_01Interesting.
Dr. TATThen it was Rihanna for the Eagles ones. And then it was Kendrick Lamar and Sizza. And uh who was that other Mustard. Remember Mustard? D I honestly still don't know what he does, but he he was awesome. No, I don't know. DJ Mustard is like He just like showed up and like every it was awesome.
SPEAKER_01His name was on a lot of songs from like early 2010s.
Dr. TATDJ Mustard. DJ Mustard. Not familiar. He's cool, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. If you watch that Kendrick Lamar halftime show, one of the best parts is when Mustard just comes out of nowhere and he's holding a football and it's awesome.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
Dr. TATYeah, it's just cool. Do we know do we know the this year? This year, not yeah. No, not yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01No one started talking about that yet.
Dr. TATNo, so like the people you're gonna see this weekend, they're Australian DJs.
SPEAKER_01Yes. I've just learned. So I thought they would be like Swedish one and Norwegian, like the rest of them are.
Dr. TATHow do you feel about you know do you think they're gonna have like a different, slightly different style because it's a different country?
SPEAKER_01No. It's like the it's like uh I how would I talk how would I describe it? Tropical house music.
Dr. TATTropical house music. So I'm not picturing. That's awesome.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
Dr. TATIt's on the beach? Like oh wow. That's sweet. That'll be nice. And like so they'll cover like Jimmy Buffett, right? Oh yeah. Yeah, that'll be nice. That's awesome. Yeah. That'll be sweet. What's your favorite AC hotel casino, would you say? Resorts. Is that one? Yeah. It's like one of the oldest ones. No, ironically, that's where Brother Tat and I went when he turned 21, and it was yeah, it was quite the adventure. I I can't remember. I think Statboy was with me. I can't remember. Maybe not. Might have been might have been Kamish. Because actually, it's actually a fun story. So we go to resorts. Brother Tat is not quite 21 yet. He has a July birthday, and we're there, and we go to the roulette table, and his his number's 13. So he actually put $25 on 13 and it hit. So that's 25.
SPEAKER_01So what does he win?
Dr. TATSo $25 times 35. 35 to 1 odds.
SPEAKER_01How do you know that?
Dr. TATI they told me. Sorry.
SPEAKER_01I'm practicing from what I put.
Dr. TATOh, are you are you gonna gamble when you go down?
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna try.
Dr. TATYou should.
SPEAKER_01Should I? No, I'm gonna put money on 39 black.
Dr. TAT39 black. Avoid 31.
SPEAKER_01What?
Stat BoyAvoid the number 31.
Dr. TATYeah, 39's gonna be tough because it goes to 36.
SPEAKER_01Well then, okay, shit.
Dr. TATI didn't know that. Yeah, that's all right. But whole numbers it added. Just 39? Do three and nine, or do 13 three times, and you'll you'll win a lot of money. That's a lot. That sounds lucky. So anyway, brother Tat hits 25, but he's 20 years old, so he can't take the winning. So I had to take it. So how much did he legally win? He legally won nothing. Oh, okay. In fact, it was he probably would have had to surrender his $25 bet, but I'm pretty sure Kamish took it. And and and so you're 20, right? And you've won 25 times 35. That's like what $2,000? $20, what? $25 times $35, $25, $35 to one odds. None of my bed. $35. Times 35 is $8.75. $8.75. So like for $2,000. For someone who's for someone who's 20 years old, that's a fortune. So like we looked around, we're like, this is the greatest thing of all time. And then I think we went to there's there was like a place next to it called the Wild West.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
Dr. TATHave you been?
SPEAKER_01No, but I think my friends want to go there before the cut stops. Yeah, and there was like Wild Wild.
Dr. TATYeah, there was a either a Gillian or a Munchkin with like, you know, a smaller person with assless chaps on walking around. And, you know, all the money went away after that. We don't remember the rest of that. But that was resorts to answer your question. Okay. That's awesome. Yeah.
unknownYeah.
Dr. TATWhite House Subs is an AC. We talked about that before. Panda's trying to change the subject. What's your favorite hotel casino, sir? Do you think that's a good one?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, Borgata.
Dr. TATI think it's the nicest.
SPEAKER_00The gold one.
Dr. TATYeah. You know, Borgata's falling off a lot. It's kind of in its own area. How about the ocean? Are you going to check out the ocean? That's the newest one.
SPEAKER_01Is that the one that used to be Rebel?
Dr. TATYeah, yeah. Yeah, that's right.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Check it out.
Dr. TATSlate, check it out. You'll like it. Play the slots. Hard rock's pretty good. Hard rock or hard rock hotel. Statboy, do you gamble? You'd never gamble, right? Statistically, it's not even worth it, right?
Stat BoyWell, you don't have the edge, but still fun to do.
SPEAKER_01You just press the buttons on the slunge.
Dr. TATThat's true. Statboy's a craps man, though. He'll like to throw the dice. In fact, I remember during one of our buddies, uh, we'll call him TC, he had a bachelor party. And I remember Stat Boy was next to basically future stat boy. You know, he was like this deadbeat 50-something year old. And they kept like blowing each other's dice. Yeah, yeah. Excuse me. Yeah. There was a lot of dice blowing going on, if you know what I mean. And I remember And we were winning. Yeah. And he had a specific way he had to you had to hold the dice like you were. Like a claw. And he did this. He would go like this.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. Who did you?
Dr. TATOr old or a stuter version of it. Staboy and future Statboy both did it. And it was like this claw motion, like this. Like you would kind of pick up, like, right, I'm right now I'm holding Panda Dan's porcelain, you know, precious china here. And and you just threw it like this, just straight across the room. Because when I uh when you roll dice, you're you're a are you a lateral dice roller or are you are you this vertical? Like, how do you throw you go like that? Yeah, yeah. So right now, Panda's showing me some sort of like a claw type thing, like a wrist extension. What about you, Slave?
SPEAKER_01I think side by side.
Dr. TATYou go you go lateral, right? Don't we don't we all go lateral like the shake it way? You know what I mean?
Stat BoyLook, you gotta do something consistent. So as long as you're consistent with it and you know how it turns out.
Dr. TATSo now Slay's showing kind of the Yahtzee move, which is kind of the two-hand side. I don't yell Yahtzee. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Do you now I mean if I was playing it, sure.
Dr. TATOkay. Are you guys Yahtzee fans? The just the game.
SPEAKER_01I don't even remember how it's a game.
Dr. TATWell, you get a you get a bull, you get a cup, right? The Yahtzee Cup. Panda, you must be a Yahtzee enthusiast. No. Okay.
SPEAKER_01You're telling me there's no Yahtzee of this house.
Dr. TATYou don't own a Yahtzee. No, no. Oh excuse me. I'm sorry. I guess we don't we're not I we're not a Yahtzee podcast, but you guys can talk to me later. And anyone can DM the Insta Instagram and I'll talk to them about Yahtzee. Yahtzee's where you have to roll five five dice dice, and then die is the singular and dice is the plural. Who'd you play with?
Stat BoyMy family. Oh, okay.
Dr. TATYeah.
SPEAKER_05Oh, that's nice.
Stat BoyYeah, the tats.
Dr. TATYeah.
Stat BoyThe tats and I remember your family being a big peanut family as well.
Dr. TATWe are a big peanut family. Do you guys know how to play peanut? It's like you have to be a thousand years old to play pinockle, but they let me in like early. Yahtzee is probably like my Yahtzee age, to be honest with you. I feel like it's about ten years from now. Oh, okay. Yeah. Now, you know, Crappage was a big game. Like what was your guy's favorite card? Like, what was your card game growing up?
SPEAKER_01Oh, War.
Dr. TATWar? Yeah. Yeah. That's a good that was a big AC game. We used to play a lot of War AS games. What's Old Made? Well, what's that one? I'm not familiar. Okay.
SPEAKER_01It's just it's like a specific deck of cards.
Dr. TATOh, okay. Are you familiar? I've I've never played Old Made, but I've seen it. Yeah. Old Made. I like like the poker games, like the seven card stud, right? Like all those there's a lot of variations. Old Mahaw? Like you could play you could play that or hold 'em. Omaha. You ever hear of like night baseball or day baseball? No. Prefer to baseball. That's pretty fun. Yeah, you could play like games like that. And um it's all variations of seven card stud. Or like there's one called Kings and Little Ones, Father the Queen. So me and my wow cousin and my uncle used to always play that. And you were gambling heavily, right? Like, no, we just did like little stuff.
Stat BoyWell, we did live through the era of like the world series of po weird series of poker becoming majorly popular when we were kids. Like it just blew up.
Dr. TATSo I mean Texas Hold'em became so popular. Yeah, but all the other ones became popular too. Yeah, yeah. Those are fun. There's there's a lot of people. Well, what about Spit? That was like the all-time elementary school game. Do you guys remember Spit?
Stat Boy413s.
Dr. TATSpit was the one where you were like going back and forth. You had to put all the cards away, and then you had to slap the pile at the end. Yeah. You weren't you didn't play Spit? At St. Dot's, that was a big like last week of school. Like all the desks are pushed away. Yeah. And some people had Game Boys, you know, the the rich people over here, Panda like, you know, planning his avalan trip and he's got his Game Boy Advance. You know, can't believe first. Wasn't there like a bull We won't we won't curse because we haven't bull something. And you have to like put down a site. Yeah. Yeah, that was pretty fun. That was a fun game as well. Yeah. Or rummy. That was like popular for families and stuff.
Panda DanYeah, grandmommy said.
Dr. TATMm-hmm. Yeah. Teach me black.
Panda DanRummy's a good beach game, actually.
Stat BoyI'll be I'll be playing a lot of rummy this week. Because that's like a like series of games. You just don't play one. You play like multiple up to what, 500 or something? Yeah. Yeah.
Dr. TATI I play with Mrs. Tat's family a lot of Rummy, and we go Rummy 500, so that's a that's an event. Now the other shore, and I want to see if you guys do this shore tradition. When we go down to the beach, we always well, we've over the last what five, five odd years, I bring a puzzle, and like over the course of the week you have to complete.
SPEAKER_01How do you do that on the beach? That's not even in the short.
Dr. TATIt's it's Oh, at the shore clear. Now in the sand we just we we lay it down. Physically at the We're at the beach and we're just pushing down the wave to knock it out. Into the sand. I build my sand. I build a sand castle with a sand table inside the sand room and I put my pieces down. But we do so we bring it to the shore house, and it's a thousand-piece puzzle, and you have to finish it by the end of the week. And every single vacation week, Mrs. Tat just gets annoyed because every night I'll just kind of like crazily just be working on the puzzle. And and she well, you know what? She's she's it at that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I um she's gonna be annoyed at you.
Dr. TATWell, guess like, guess who just bought me another thousand-piece puzzle?
Panda DanMrs. Tat.
Dr. TATSo, like she's an enabler. So I'm of course I'm gonna go.
SPEAKER_01What kind of puzzle is it?
Dr. TATWell, it's cool. She went to this little shop called Costco and they had this thousand piece. It's like a safari scene, so it's gonna really we're trying to get tiger, we're trying to get tiger tatted.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that'll be nice.
Dr. TATYeah, it'll be fun. Yeah. That's awesome.
Stat BoySo have you ever done a puzzle upside down? No, that sounds concerning. Yeah, you you put it on a table or whatever. Why would you do that, Julia? You do it upside down and then you just don't look at the color side. Well, no, it's the the back side, so there's nothing to it. You have to basically just figure out where the pieces fit the best. That are you then flip it afterwards and you get to see the the photo. Are you crazy? Oh, absolutely crazy. Is that oh my god, I boy, I don't know. If you're a good puzzleist, that's how you do it.
Dr. TATAre you a puzzler of sorts?
Stat BoyI'm a puzzler in some ways, yes. Yeah.
Dr. TATHave you guys ever completed like a thousand? A thousand is perfect for one week. Like it's the right amount of time. I do face up, yeah. Sorry. I'm not I'm not a puzzle wizard like yourself. Oh, yeah.
Stat BoyThe puzzleist.
Dr. TATYeah. Puzzling. But we're looking forward to that, so that's that's a big part of it. And then you know the only the only challenge we have is we're not big we're not a big seagull family. We've had some bad events. Like my one aunt gets like dive bombed once a beach going.
SPEAKER_01Is she open openly eating her sandwich in the ship?
Dr. TATShe well all right. Well, Slay once again is yeah. So she actually had like an open-mouthed kind of like hoagie type sandwich snatched out of her hand from Yeah. They're aggressive. Yeah. The seagulls are getting worse.
SPEAKER_01You have to eat it under a towel, basically.
Dr. TATYou have to eat under a towel. That's just no no So is that how you do it? You you go you go under towel? Sometimes. Okay. You just gotta do it fast. Like I eat it fast. Like just like something in a bag, grab it, eat it, and then by the time they come over, you already have it put back in the bag.
Stat BoyThe the move is you've got to be constantly moving. You have to walk up and down the you know the sand there and keep moving. So you're you're mobile, you're mobile when you're eating. Yes, that's how I think it works the best.
SPEAKER_01You just gotta make it look like you're not even eating. All right.
Dr. TATSo slay. Slay's like a ghost, like underneath the towel. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01We've got or if you're under an umbrella.
Dr. TATMr. Pacer is walking in circles eating it. Now you're a Lou Dog guy, right? Our future sponsor. Yeah. Yep. Yeah. So so you'll just go to the stand and you'll eat the you eat the dog there, and so you're not going to get attacked by the street.
SPEAKER_05It's a storefront now.
Dr. TATIt's a storefront.
Stat BoyYeah. I would like to throw another name out there. I know Lou Dog is pretty popular already, and it's been around forever, but there's one down on 59th, which is where I kind of go and see how, and it's it's a delicious place called Bubba Dogs. So so they're really good. They're actually kind of they're starting up. I don't know how long they've been around, but they have their own little cart that sits on the one-way street there. And Jason Kelsey's been there a couple times. He's got his own like you know, dog itself. The big thing with them is they like to put potato sticks on all their house dogs and stuff. So it's very good. That's kind of like a Pittsburghian type thing. Right.
Dr. TATYeah, yeah. Is it a storefront or a stand?
Stat BoyIt's just like a it's like a van park and they put a tan up and then you can up. You vemo their you know what you buy.
Dr. TATIs the guy named Bubba or is it like named after a friend or something?
Stat BoyYeah, I believe it's it's a gentleman there named Bubba. But it's run by, I think, like one of their younger folks of the family. Shawson? Yep. We I've actually said I love their dogs and I've actually handed them a set height sticker, so they are big fans of ours. Shout out to Bubba Bob.
Dr. TATYou know what? We're gonna try a Bubba dog when we go downstairs.
Stat BoyDo they sell iced tea with lemon? I think they have some drinks there. You think so? CYO lemon. They got everything you need. Yeah. Chips, dogs, boo. Yeah. I think you even have a grilled chicken.
Dr. TATYeah, but you gotta avoid the seagulls. Now, the one thing you never see is an ocean duck. There's no ducks there, and it's not a not anything of a joking matter.
SPEAKER_01Good segue.
Dr. TATLet's get to it. All right, here we go. One of the things, folks, just quick inside baseball, and I'm gonna set the table here for our birthday girl. Dan, are you familiar with duck jokes? Yes. You've yet to give one for the podcast, but actually, Slay's got one for us. So please, what do we got?
SPEAKER_01So I'm gonna have you guys read this as line one. Okay, actually Here we go.
Dr. TATSlay's gotta write it.
SPEAKER_01You're gonna have to read it, read it how it is.
Dr. TATOkay. I'm gonna read it. I just was handed a piece of paper and it says one, Mr. Ducks, two, Mr. Not, one Osar CM Wangs. Okay, two Lib Mr. Ducks.
SPEAKER_01Okay, everyone got that?
Dr. TATOkay. Should I do it one more time? Okay, I'm gonna do it one more time for everybody. One, Mr. Ducks, two, Mr. Not, one Osar C M Wangs, two Lib Mr. Ducks.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so the one and two is a this is a conversation between two people. Okay, okay. Okay.
Dr. TATYeah, all right, here we go.
SPEAKER_01And my mom gave me this joke.
Dr. TATOkay.
SPEAKER_01So it's M R ducks, M R Not, O-S-A-R, C M Wangs, L D. M R Dux. This is so good. That was good. Wasn't it good? M R D I M R Up. C M Wangs.
Dr. TATFolks, I am going to send a screenshot of that for everyone to do, but I'm panda. Are you familiar with this? I never heard that one. Yeah, I've heard so many duck chicks. You know, it's funny.
SPEAKER_03So good.
Dr. TATI've actually heard this conversation in Georgia when I used to live. M R ducks, M or not, Osar, C O-S-A-R, O-S-A-R, C M Wangs. Well, Twang L-I-B. M-R-Ducks. That's awesome. That's that's the best duck joke we've had. Yeah, you gotta text Andrew that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Text him just the photo.
Dr. TATYeah. I'm gonna do that right now.
SPEAKER_01Figure it out.
Dr. TATI'm gonna do that right now. Shout out. That's fantastic. I'm gonna get a smile on Slay with that one.
SPEAKER_01Oh great. That's pretty funny. It's so dumb, but so funny.
Dr. TATThat is great. Panda, you can you can you uh follow with that? Do you have a duck joke? I don't think I do, no, but I think Slayer, you drove a Jeep before, right?
SPEAKER_01Did you ever Oh yeah, I have some things to correct you on.
Dr. TATYeah. You provided us some additional detail.
SPEAKER_01I had a black Jeep Wrangler. It was the best car ever. Oh, great. Yeah, we need to.
Dr. TATThis is a huge correction for us. Sorry, Slay, go ahead.
SPEAKER_01I leased it. It was the best car ever.
Dr. TATWranglers are awesome. What are you gonna say? We like Wranglers. So set us straight about this whole duck culture.
SPEAKER_01So, okay, yeah. You if you like another Jeep Wrangler, you if you have a duck, you just go over to the car and put it in the you can put it on the handle.
SPEAKER_03Is there a specific so it's supposed to be on the handle?
SPEAKER_01That's where anyone that I have gotten, if if I'm not there.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01But I did my first duck was at the Doville.
SPEAKER_03You had a Doville duck.
SPEAKER_01Yes, and I was by myself on a salt and I was like Nice.
SPEAKER_03So you had a solo Doville duck.
SPEAKER_01Unfortunately it was it was a um Mickey Mouse themed as my first duck, and I like I'm not sure. No one wants a Donald. It was like a d like Mickey ears.
Dr. TATMickey ears, yeah. Okay, you don't want your first duck to be Disney based. That's a little creepy, you know what I mean? Yeah. Or an MLB adult. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, not this. And then I got one at I got a lot down the shore. I got one at the Wawa off the island off Sea Isle. That's a good Wawa.
SPEAKER_03So you got a gas pump duck one. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I think it was purple. I think it was purple.
Dr. TATA purple gas pump duck.
SPEAKER_01So those that's just for Jeep Wranglers.
Stat BoySo that's okay. So that's why you don't have one. Yeah. Well, we gotta start it up.
SPEAKER_01I'm ultra also interested. How many waves do you get back?
Dr. TATWell, when the I guess when it's a Wrangler, they they had Yeah, because it's supposed to be between the Wranglers.
Stat BoyYeah. No, they're so it's a subset of the Jeep culture.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So there's like when I had the Jeep when I got my Jeep, they do like a whole like a Jeep Wave program or something. But it has nothing to do with the wave. It's just like the I some I didn't read the fine print, but it's only for Wranglers, Dan.
Stat BoyThat's why I'm concerned that you're just like Is there like a non-disclosure agreement that you have to sign when you do this? Because it sounds like you guys only know about this.
SPEAKER_01Yes. And also on Jeep Wranglers, they have a secret little logo that is throughout the car. And per the salesperson says, Okay, this is your secret logo. Like mine were flip-flops, and I had to like you had to like find it. And like you don't sp spend forever doing it, but when you find it, you're like, oh my god, that's my there's my secret. I had flip-flops and they were on the front part of my car. I think it was on the windshield on the outside. That's and I was so happy when I found it.
Stat BoyI was like, So this is how they they promote their vehicles, is they Yeah, they got me with that one. They sp put hidden symbols throughout them.
SPEAKER_03So do you have two two total ducks then, Slay?
SPEAKER_01No, I have more.
Dr. TATThat's awesome. And now have you have you given another Wrangler a duck?
SPEAKER_01Yes. Usually anytime I see a the turquoise one, you know that the you've seen this.
Dr. TATYeah, they're really nice. They're my favorite. Okay. So you'll you'll be like, all right, that's a duck worthy VM. I don't have any British has a blue Wrangler, right? He does, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I don't have any. Oh, I mean, I guess I don't. You know what? This makes sense.
Dr. TATThis explains a lot. Because there there have been many times where I wave and they don't wave back.
SPEAKER_01You can see I had my one duck, there's my Nikki duck.
Dr. TATOh, no. So first one. So you keep it, right? Because it's ever respect. Yeah, I don't know where the So you put it on the handle. You know what it makes sense to put it on the handle? Because like I I could imagine if you get like kind of this wayward duck, you know, if the ducking occurs like on the hood, or if you get a rear duck, you might not see it. You might not see your duck. You might not see that duck coming, you know what I mean? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Dang, I thought I had more pictures of this.
Dr. TATSo uh that makes sense, Panda. You're uh and right now Panda's wearing a Jeep jersey.
SPEAKER_01A Jeep guy.
Dr. TATYeah. He's a Jeep guy, but I guess his so what what kind of culture do you have then? What what do the Jeep Cher Grand Cherokees do? I mean, I didn't know that the wave was not for the Grand Cherokee. So like you've kind of been trying to like be part of that group, but like now it makes sense why it hasn't been totally successful. So it sounds like the the Grand Cherokees are just kind of like a vehicle. Yeah, it's just a drive. Kind of like my my Highlander, you know, you just kind of go back and forth. Kind of kind of lame. You just like listen to like a podcast and don't really socialize with anyone. That's fine. You know, that it is what it is. But that's cool. Thank you for setting us straight. Yeah. But yeah, that's good. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Like no wonder this guy didn't know about the desk.
Dr. TATNo, I'm glad you brought that up. Yeah, that's that's great. Why don't you try you should try giving a fellow Grand Cherokee Cherokean? Maybe like a salute. A duck. I'll try like a salute. A salute? Yeah. Well, just be careful how you salute, you know, just the angles, right? That's not important. I mean your the name of your car probably wear a hat. Maybe I'll like tip the hat. Tip the hat. Tip the hat. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Or do the do the head nod.
Dr. TATWhy don't you do like uh just do my little wink or something? Why don't you do like you know something like that? So like my just do something something to honor the Cherokee uh tribe. Yeah. Yeah. I mean I love my Jeep and I will.
SPEAKER_01You played it safe.
Dr. TATGood job, Dan. That's good. There is something else. We were talking about DJs. I'm gonna go on a tangent.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
Dr. TATSo the day of the Eagles home opener.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Should we go?
Dr. TATYeah, we should go. Are you going? We should. Um I'll be going. Oh god. I hope you guys Yeah. We should all go.
SPEAKER_01Well, he's gotta finish.
Dr. TATBefore the game. So the game's a four. Before the game, I just saw this recently. That's so it's now called Stateside Live. It used to be called Xfinity Live. Yep. There's a concert that day. Okay. Do you guys know who it is?
SPEAKER_01I'm never gonna believe it.
Dr. TATIs it it's a DJ?
SPEAKER_01It's not who do you think it's gonna be though?
Dr. TATOkay, so I'm gonna think it's Jazzy Jeff. No. Correct amount of syllables. Correct amount of syllables. Alright, that that narrows it down for me. I I've it's right on the tip of my tongue. It's gonna be DJ Think Summer. Callie We the best. No. No. Who? DJ Pauly D. No. Huge. Paul Paul D is gonna be there.
Stat BoyD is short for duck. Duck. Pauly duck. Right. That's why we brought it.
Dr. TATYeah, that's why it's bad. Well, he actually he was a big duck face guy, you know, during the Jersey Shore. Did you watch the Jersey Shore in its like inception? Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So good.
Dr. TATYeah. It was fantastic.
SPEAKER_01Where's the beach?
Dr. TATNow now DJ Pauly D, let's look up his birthday when he was born, but he's got to be pushing. He's welcome. He's like six or four. He's the oldest. Well, it's probably like the situation.
SPEAKER_01No, I think Paulie was the oldest. I'm pretty sure Paulie is like He was like 30 on the show.
Dr. TATI'm pretty sure you're gonna see a lot of like AARP sponsorship for DJ Pauly D. July. July 5th. July 5th. He's a 7-5er. Good for him. 1980. 1980. So he is 558. I would think Mike The Situation was older than Paul E D.
SPEAKER_01No, I remember Pauly Dump.
Dr. TATThat's a great nickname, The Situation. That was really good.
SPEAKER_03What about the who is the super jack guy? Ronnie. Ronnie. Ronnie and Ronnie.
SPEAKER_01There was a clip, our PC clips, and there was a clip from the Jersey Shore where they're filming it. The situation call for a taxi. And they're like, Yeah, can we get a taxi? He's like, Yeah, what's the name? The situation. She's like, What situation? Somebody else. And he's like, Yeah, who's the who's the car for it? He's like, Situation. I go, that's your name? Situation. Oh my god, it's just the hysterical.
Stat BoyOh my god. The situation. That was a great show. Yeah. More duck news when we get to it. Oh yeah? What it would lay it on.
SPEAKER_03What happened?
Stat BoyOh, okay. So we'll try to steer this back into the sports realm. All right. So a couple weeks like about a week and a half ago at this point, there was like a small kind of reporting by Nightingale, the big big MLB writer. I mean he mentioned that Alex Kora, the former Boston Red Sox coach who got fired for all kinds of stuff. They were really bad this year they got fired. But he has connections with Dombrowski from Boston. And they were talking that apparently he turned down the coaching opportunity to become the next Phillies coach when they fired Rob Thompson. But there's an expectation going into next year that Alex Cole will become the next Phillies manager. But it's boring if they go to the World Series or if they actually win, right? So back to why this relates to ducks. That makes Don Maddenly a lame duck coach. Oh, that was good. Yeah. Yeah. So what do we think about that? Do we think do we stick with Don Epoy or do we we because right now, if he feels like he's out, does that hurt the team like morale? Does it hurt the team's drive? I mean, because they're basically playing for a coach that's not going to be here next year, regardless.
SPEAKER_01I don't think they're thinking about that right now.
Stat BoyI don't think Don Mattingly does anything of importance for this. They brought Don in. There was a huge bump in like, okay, we got to rally back to this guy, and they play really well with him. Kind of like what they did when they fired what's his name? The old Yankee coach. Joe Girardi. Joe Girardi. Yeah. So do you think that matters? And because they're playing really well still. Do you think they're playing to keep Donnie Boy as a coach next season? I don't think they care. I agree.
Dr. TATIt's like I I don't like how Cora like he I don't know much about him, but I don't like how he turned it down. And then it's like that'd be weird for him to then be like, all right, now I'm ready to come. It's just like not that cool. I don't know. I mean, I I did not play enough I didn't play enough baseball in my life. Like, how important is the manager to a baseball team?
Stat BoyI mean, baseball is very like, you know, by the book in a lot of ways, so as long as you know how to play and you know kind of situational baseball, you you could be a decent coach. Charlie Manual, he was don't you think about it? But there's also players, coaches, that do things that are not by the book based on how they feel. You know, like what's his name? Gabe or football. Gabe. He was very analytical. He was taking players out.
Dr. TATVery handsome.
Stat BoyYeah. Yeah. I remember like one of the first games in one of the season that Aaronola was dealing in, they pulled him and they basically blew the game because they took him out because the statistics said, Yeah, hey, we gotta take him out now because he's coming through the third time in rotation and it they lost the game. Other coaches, they would be like, no, he's dealing, keep him, keep him in. So yeah. I I I mean, I think baseball matters is a little bit.
Dr. TATIt's not as much as like other sports, but well isn't isn't the classic adage in baseball that there's 162 games, right? So you're gonna win fifty, you're gonna lose fifty, and those sixty-two games is where you know the great and the bad teams go. And what you think the manager could win or lose ten of those with their decisions? Oh yeah.
Stat BoyYeah, absolutely. Yeah.
Dr. TATI don't think Mattingley's that good personally. Yeah, he's got a lot of criticism. And like his son is his boss. It's like kind of awkward, right?
Stat BoyWell, the the weird part here is I think earlier in the season, you know, there's that whole Dombrowski like called Harper not elite, and then there's like kind of some friction between Harper and Dombrowski, and Dombrowski prefers well, he Alex Corps, or sorry, Don Mattingley came in as a former player that Harper really fell behind when he when he was elected as coach. He's like, hey, this guy we used to play. He's a great player, too. Well, Rob Thompson didn't do that, so he kind of almost threw like some shade at Rob at that point. But now Domsky is saying, like, doesn't matter who you like, Harper, we're bringing in Alex anyway, because he's my guy. Which one is a duck? The the current coach. The current coach is a duck, a lame duck. A lame duck, yeah. Because he's not gonna be back next year, regardless.
SPEAKER_05Unless they win. Unless he has to do to win the show.
Stat BoyIt kind of motivates Harper to say, hey, I know Harper likes Donnie. Let's see if it motivates him to keep him by winning the World Series.
Dr. TATI have them winning the World Series, so we're good to go. Yeah. So that means it's gonna be great. Alex Corr won't be the coach. What uh yeah, like what is did Donnie have to do to stay? Do you think he could just make the Probably make the World Series? Make it to win the NLC.
Stat BoyHe has to make it make the World Series or obviously win it. Yeah. That sounds about right. That's all that's pressure. I mean, that's like That's tough. He's got the World Series.
Dr. TATI don't know. I think if he's a NL Yankee, right? Yeah. I feel like it depends on when you play the Dodgers, because the Dodgers are going to be an absolute wagon. Yeah, they've been a little shaky though. I think right now, I mean, I agree, but I think the brewers are the top right now in the philosopher kicking ass. But all right, let's get into a little bit of voicemail action. I think we actually so if you want to call the podcast, Slay, if you ever wanted to. Yeah, I know.
SPEAKER_01I should do that.
Dr. TATDo you know what the number is?
SPEAKER_01Something set hike.
Dr. TATIt's two three three four set hike.
SPEAKER_01That's one, two, three, four. Right after we're gonna go. Let's go.
Stat BoyYeah, fire it up.
SPEAKER_01My brain.
Stat BoyLet's uh let's hold off on the voicemail just yet. We have one. I mean, we had a lot to work with this week, actually. So we'll get into a little fan mail real quick because it's related to what we just talked about. So we received some fan mail from ArchClown. Okay, yeah. Um and he he likes to say here, he's like, I appreciate the podcast has a lot of football till, right? Because of said hike and all that, as the name itself would indicate. But I'm riding through a high of seven straight wins from the fighting fills on this beautiful Friday night. So this was like last week when this happened. Yeah. And it it got him thinking. He's like, I have to imagine that the said hike listener base would be into a social meetup in the near future. You know, this has got a lot of energy, right? It's got a lot of juice. Yeah. So would the site the said hike listener base be interested in hosting a Red October tailgate for the hopeful Phillies playoff game?
Dr. TATThe answer is absolutely yes. No, I think I think we're 100%. That's a great idea. Yeah. I'm gonna be wearing a bright red LeBron James jersey to honor the thing. And I cannot wait. Um I'm excited. Yeah, I think we could do that.
SPEAKER_01That would be fun.
Stat BoyYeah, I mean, let's I think let's do something and get our fans together. Slay, you need to come. Yeah, come.
Dr. TATYeah. Boardman Oregon guy, maybe we could fly him in. Yeah, that'd be great. I'll bring a couple ducks. You know, we'll find a bunch of Wranglers. So everyone who brings a Jeep Wrangler will get the first set hike t-shirt. You know, the first tenure. The first ten deep wranglers I see get a set hike t-shirt. Wow, that's all right. Start buying some t-shirts. Wow.
Stat BoyThat sounds great. I'm in. We can even go a step further with that. So I know we had this tilt as set hike, but I think we for a short period of time, if it's a red October run, we translate to set strike. You like it? I hate that.
Dr. TATWe can't dilute the brand. Are you kidding me? I mean, I it's like it's like iHop.
SPEAKER_01Put it like a put make it a segment.
Dr. TATMake it a segment? Make it a segment. Yeah. Okay. Set strike's gonna set off a bunch of union work and it's gonna get really ugly. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, but it's an R D department.
SPEAKER_01It's gonna be a good one.
Dr. TATYeah, the R and D we're gonna have to work for. It stands for Well usually it stands for research and development. Oh, okay.
Stat BoyI think it's yeah. I always need to stands for the letters R and D, correct? Yeah. Yeah. There is no It's actually two guys.
SPEAKER_01N, R N D or R. But there's just two guys in the department.
Dr. TATSo it's R and then that N symbol and then D. And it's actually the name of two of our employees, Rob and Doug. So they're the guys. They're the guys who actually do all the work.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I meant to look that up, but every time I'm Rob and Doug.
Dr. TATYeah. All right. Yeah, we have time for a couple of voicemails here. All right, let's go to the voicemail. But yeah, that was a great message by Arch.
Stat BoyYep. All right, switch it on there. All right. Give me one second. We have a couple here and we'll we'll filter over. Happy birthday, Slide. Yeah. Seriously. What a fantastic birthday.
Dr. TATI I currently have a golden kazoo in my. What would you call this? Is this a noisemaker? What do you call these things? I'm holding up. It's a birthday kazoo.
SPEAKER_03Is it a thirty these are kazoos?
Dr. TATNot like the not like Statboys like amazing kazoo, but you know, that's uh Would you I think these are not called like horns. Birthday horns? I don't know what these are called. Do you think these are like a horn? Yeah, yeah. A birthday horn? I guess so. I always think of it as a noisemaker, you know? Yeah, let's get to the horse.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god. Happy birthday, Claire.
Dr. TATTalf family. Oh, that was so good. Very good. Very good. That was great. Fantastic. They actually did the piping for the color for the words on the cake. It was perfect. Yeah. We'll show that on the gram. All right.
Stat BoyGot another one? Yeah, we got we have three consecutive that occurred tonight. Oh my god. So we'll see how these go. I think there was one from yesterday, too, just FYI. One from yesterday. Yeah. Yeah. We'll save that for yesterday. We'll go through these three and we'll bring the other one later. All right. Yep. Alright, here we go. Alright, here we go.
SPEAKER_00Is there a problem here?
SPEAKER_07Hello? Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Who is it? I don't know.
SPEAKER_07I'm sorry, I'm not hearing anything. Okay, well, I'll try and call back some other time.
Stat BoyOkay. Who was that? I think I think that was our listener from Ohio, from Akron. Wait. Bless your heart. Yeah, was that it? Yeah, I think I think he was confused that our uh our voicemail was was us actually us just answering the phone.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's interesting. Bless his heart. Oh man.
Stat BoyWell, he's tried again. He gave us another call. All right, here we go. Let's see what he has to say here.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, it's uh calling to see that your take on the the La Vuta spike race in in Spain. Do you guys have any predictions on the winners or losers? So I thought this was going to be a live quality show. It's not.
Dr. TATSo thank you.
SPEAKER_07Hopefully I'll catch you later. Bye.
Dr. TATOne of our favorite fans. Oh, this wasn't the Akron fan. This is the brother from it. That is that is one of the finest one of the greatest gobblers I've ever met. That is that is our airline pilot, extraordinary. So we'll definitely know that. We'll have him on for that. Yeah, yeah. He surprised us. We'll invite him. That's good. So what are your guys' thoughts on the Lamuda bike race in Spain?
SPEAKER_01I'm sure it's got nice views.
Dr. TATI agree. I think it sounds like Yeah, I wonder where that I I don't know where in Spain that is, but we're gonna we'll have to check it out.
Stat BoyYeah, we'll see. We'll see many. We love the bike.
Dr. TATI would love to three-week grand tour. Good God. Three weeks. Yeah. Now I would love to bike in Spain. Now you're a big bicycle uh cyclist, right, Peter? Yeah. I mean, we were talking about the Jersey Shore. I love biking down the classic three. Three cruiser, and yeah, yeah. It's a famous picture.
Stat BoyYeah, and it's it's it's already begun. It started on the 22nd of August and it goes all the way to the 13th of September. It's the 81st edition of this race. It's stressed. Or kilometers. Trying to trying to figure that out. Lance Armstrong everywhere.
SPEAKER_01How do you know who's like in the lead?
Stat BoyIt's 3,275 kilometers.
SPEAKER_01Can you convert that?
Stat Boy21 stages that's more.
Dr. TATSo there's like yeah, different stages. It's kind of like the Tour de France, it sounds like.
Stat BoyAnd the Tour de France is when?
Dr. TATI don't know. No, I don't know. But I'm gonna I'm gonna predict that What are the odds? Yeah. I think the Spanish guy's gonna win. Do you think someone from Spain's gonna win it? I think it's gonna be that Portuguese guy. Okay. So you think it's the Portuguese guy? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, he he looks pretty good in those other races. So wait, does the gobbler have a third voicemail with us? I think he does.
Stat BoyAll right, let's fire it up. Uh to answer the question, 3,275 kilometers is 2,034 miles. Almost 35 miles. That's a long, long distance. All right, fire. And then we got we got a last one here from our buddy The Gobbler. The Gobbler gave a trio. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07We'll give him a call.
Stat BoyYeah, we love the Gobbler.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, I'm trying to call from the International House of Pancakes. Um I guess you guys aren't live tonight, so I'll try some other times. Thanks. So he's calling from iHop.
Stat BoySo maybe he tried the international number that time.
Dr. TATYeah, that's really nice. One, two, three, four, said hike. Yeah. All right. IHOP, what's your favorite order? Do you guys go pancakes?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
Dr. TATYeah.
SPEAKER_01I had pancakes today. From Cafe La Made.
Dr. TATOh, that's that's great. Yeah. What did you have? What kind? That's do you keep them like it's a Northern Liberties?
SPEAKER_01So the way because I was trying to order it and I was like, oh, bakl. He's like, baklawa. And look at this.
SPEAKER_03Baklava?
SPEAKER_01Baklava? Yes, I was just. No. It's baglava.
SPEAKER_03Baklawa.
SPEAKER_01Look at the pancakes. So I don't know why they're green.
Dr. TATNow, now there's no lemon on that, right? It would spoil your teeth. That yellow stuff, is that lemon? I think there's some lemon.
SPEAKER_01Is it syrup or syrup?
Dr. TATIt's uh syrup. Syrah. What? Syrah. It's syrup. Sit. Syrup? It's uh syrup. Whoa.
SPEAKER_01Like berries.
Dr. TATIt was so good. They were delicious?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So good.
Dr. TATFantastic.
Stat BoyIs that like a specialty thing you only get on a birthday kind of thing? Or you can get that any day of the week.
SPEAKER_01You can get that any day. It's on the menu.
Stat BoyIt's a baklawa. It's a baklawa.
Dr. TATIt's like, yeah, you know, it's wah blah blah uh pancakes. Dan, what's your favorite type of pancake? Probably chocolate chip. Yeah, yeah. Chocolate chip. With syrup on it. Yeah. So you just well, you know what? The w one I I have one last thing, and I think Glad Slate's here to we have to celebrate too. Like we have some uh gifts for her. Well, yeah, but I we we want to have a brief intervention here, Panda. You're taking in a lot of sugar. Yeah. You disclose that you have a minute made.
SPEAKER_01Like that's probably your sugar intake concerns me.
Dr. TATYeah. That's like 56 grams of sugar.
SPEAKER_01I need to look at sugar.
Dr. TATCan we can we look at the sugar content of the minute maids you drink every morning? Uh I don't know if I have one off it. No, I drink it in the afternoon.
SPEAKER_01So it's which is probably even more.
Dr. TATYeah, that's that's really concerning. How many how many minute maids do you drink a day, Dan? I just drink one. You drink one? Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_01One glass?
Dr. TATOne how many servings? So I go into Wawa. Okay. Yeah, they have like I don't know how many ounces. That's a good question. It's like whatever in that container. Okay. Sometimes I get out out of a vending machine too, actually. Now I think that's a good thing. So and we're talking about it's healthy. I mean, Jalen Carter does it. I do it.
SPEAKER_01Were you gonna say it's healthy?
Dr. TATOh yeah, it's got vitamin C like this? No, no, no. It's got vitamin C. It's like raspberry, apple. Remember, I named like all the fruits. Now, is this diet or just full sugar? No, it's like it's juice, you know? Yeah, but how much gotta try it? How much percent is it actual fruit juice, Panda? I'm a little concerned here, guys. It's like this. Yeah, hold on. All right, here we go. All right, right now, right now I've got both of my co-hosts here. Oh, here we go.
SPEAKER_01Let me see.
Dr. TATSo it's $55 for one of these. So first off, it's it's not right. So why is it? $55. Yeah. So it's so every afternoon Dan drops $55. He gets his vi uh now it's 100% vitamin C, so that's good. Yeah. That doesn't mess up your teeth. Is that good? That doesn't mess up your teeth. But can we get some nutrition facts there? I'm looking, I can't find it. Slay's digging it up. Panda, there there might be like 38 grams of sugar in this thing. Let's see. So Slay's on it. Why is that? Well, you know, I guess, you know, it's in the eye of the beholder, Panda, but I just want to make sure I just want to let you know, Panda, that we care about you and we want you to be okay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
Dr. TATWell, thank you. And, you know, maybe we do the Minute Maid once every other day for a little while and see how you do. Because I I see you get these weird urges towards the end of the podcast, and God knows what you're drinking right now. I mean, I I see the Coca-Cola who got this folks doing. Can we get the doctor Can we get your doctor on? Yeah, we should as a guest. You know what we should do is have Dr. Green coming in. Actually, we're gonna have to give him the nutrition facts of this. Right now, Slate's working on it.
SPEAKER_01I'll send it later. We'll sort it out.
Dr. TATIt'll be a future voicemail. We should ask Stat GPT if it's if it's healthy. Yeah. Um, actually, I think we're pretty much rounding out. We need to get through some corrections, but are we missing anything else, Stat Boy? Well, are we getting the corrections or do we want to finish off someone?
Stat BoyWhat do we have? One more voicemail? No, no more voicemail. So we did have a uh a call in uh from our buddy Turtle. Yeah from our fantasy league, right? So we're kind of getting late in the year. Yeah. This year, Labor Days later, so it kind of makes some more time to figure out the fantasy stuff. So we do have an official announcement. So our our Zulu Nation Fantasy Football League is going into the 20 season. Satboy is commissioner, and the special announcement is set hike is officially sponsoring the league this year. So we are officially sponsored by Set Hike. Yeah, it's a fantastic collaboration, one that I'm very proud of to bring to the league. In addition, we did have a member vacate this year, and we were we did have a very rigorous process in figuring out the next 14th member to join. Rigorous. Rigorous. Rigorous process.
Dr. TATWe had Sean Connery.
Stat BoyHe's like, it was a rigorous contest for the Red October. And I'm happy to announce that our buddy. Oh, we picked someone. Drumroll, please. Yes, we picked someone. It's going to be our buddy Lions. Oh, good.

SPEAKER_01So is Pete. He's available for that.
Stat BoyPete actually decides to shift some of his flights around, so he's available. Oh, that's great.
SPEAKER_01Why can't anybody make that day?
Stat BoyDr. Green is the only one not available because he's in the process of having a child. So good for seventh. Dr. Green. Ironically, that's Labor Day. So, you know, that would be the day to have a child.
SPEAKER_05That would be the day to have a kid. Yeah.
Stat BoyShout out. Yeah, it's a smart day. Yeah, that's the day to labor. So eight o'clock Eastern. So we will not be recording that evening. Yep. So yeah. Sorry, guys. Fantastic.

Dr. TATAnd what I would like to say to finish this up is to say that if you want to have your birthday on set height, please call 1234 set height for a measly $10,000, just like Slay just made. You can have your own birthday on 1-234 set. That's 1-2-3-4 set-eye. Yeah. It's been it's been fantastic. I ever hear. Yeah, this is a great guy. This was our first birthday sleigh episode, but it will not be our last. I feel very certain of that. Yeah, it's probably the best place to spend your birthday at this point.
SPEAKER_01Easy to get to.
Dr. TATEasy to get to. And you know, all you have to do is bring your own cookies, and then we'll have cupcakes. And we have a special type of cake that is kind of blurred up words that don't make any sense. It's a braille cake. Yeah, it's perfect. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I don't think you have time to figure out what it says. Yeah, you look with your fingers. You know what I mean? Look, it didn't say something at that point. Yeah, it did say something at some point.
